Surrey ABACUS (Association of British and Chinese University Students) is a newly established society in the University of Surrey, for students to meet others with not only common cultures and backgrounds but interests too! You don’t have to be a British Born Chinese (BBC) or even remotely Chinese to participate in our wide range of events. The Association of British And Chinese University Student

s (ABACUS) aims to integrate both British and Chinese cultures and strives to provide a social network that will benefit our members in the near or/and distant future. Torn between two cultures? Having trouble identifying as either western or eastern? Or do you just want to have fun and connect with like-minded people? Then ABACUS is just for you!!! Founded in Cambridge in 1994 by a group of BBCs. ABACUS is established in numerous universities across the UK, hoping to expand and encourage students to contribute and share their ideas towards the society. This week serves as a reminder that eating disorders are serious, complex, and can affect anyone. Recovery is possible, but it starts with awareness, understanding, and support.

- They are not just about food - they can be rooted in genetics, mental health, societal pressures, and more
- Recovery looks different for everyone, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness
