Next weekend is the SSAFA 13 bridges challenge!

CPO(SCC) Nick Akers, our District Training Officer and CO of Sea Cadets Richmond is taking part to raise money for this great charity. If anyone is willing to sponsor him he would be really grateful!

⚓🎉 Volunteers' Week shout-out to our fantastic First Lieutenants and Detachment Commanders! 🎉⚓

The people who keep the unit running smoothly, the cadets on track, and the rest of us wondering how they manage it all! From planning activities and solving last-minute problems to finding missing kit and answering the same question multiple times ! They do it all with patience, dedication, and good humour.

Thank you for giving up your time, sharing your experience, and helping create opportunities and memories for our cadets every week. We appreciate everything you do, even if we're still not entirely sure how you keep everything afloat! 🚤😂👏

BZ to the District Recreation Officer who attended Buckingham Palace yesterday and met HM The King.

Yesterday morning at Buckingham Palace, PO (SCC) Prentice attended an event for The King's Trust where the King hosted a group of young people alongside their Goodwill Ambassador Sir Gareth Southgate and representatives of the youth sector to discuss challenges facing the next generation.

The summit provided an opportunity for leaders across society to hear directly from Stephen and other young people about the positive difference access to support can have on the younger generation. He was also asked what he felt could be done to help in the cadet forces.

Thankyou to Stephen for representing us at the Palace and to the Kings Trust who see the positive impact that the Cadet Forces can make on both the volunteers and the future generations of the United Kingdom.

Meet our Sea Cadet Chaplains!

Part listener, part cheerleader, part counsellor, and occasionally part weather-resistant deckhand, our chaplains are always on hand to support cadets and volunteers through the highs, lows, and everything in between.

They may not know all the knots, but they certainly help keep us all tied together as a community!
