Guildford Street Angels Street Angels are volunteers that care for vulnerable people on the streets of Guildford, every Friday & Saturday night between 11pm - 4am

We were founded in 2008 with a mission to care for vulnerable people in Guildford on Friday and Saturday nights and some midweek nights. On the way we have picked up a few awards including the Community Empowerment Award in 2010 and the Queens Award for Voluntary Services in 2015. We run alongside our sister organisations Guildford Community Angels and Volunteer Chaplains under the umbrella of Gui

Recently one of the teams was slightly taken aback when a blacked-out Mercedes pulled up alongside them at a green traffic light.
With its tinted windows and slow, deliberate approach, it looked like something straight out of a crime drama. The front window slowly rolled down a few inches…
…only for a young lad to lean out and politely ask:
“Hey Street Angels… can I have a lollipop?” 🍭. 😇❤️🙏🏻

Thank you so much, Guildford, for supporting our Tea Tent at the St Martha's on-the-Hill Event last Bank Holiday Monday. Around 300 drinks were served in exchange for donations. Cakes, lollies, and drinks disappeared rapidly during our busy fundraising day, and we were able to share information about our work with many passers-by.
Astonishingly, we raised over £1,400, which will be shared between St Martha's and our parent body, Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy. Your contributions make such a difference to our charitable work.

Last Saturday night we were delighted to welcome our Mayor, Howard Smith, to see some of things we get up to. Here he reflects on the experience.
"It was lovely to come out with the team on Saturday night/Sunday morning. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been out in the town that late! It was great to see first-hand the care and kindness your team show to those that need a little help getting home. And to witness so many of those that night showing their appreciation.
Thank you for all the work the Street Angels do for the town at night."

As many of our followers know, Street Angels are volunteers that care for vulnerable people on the streets of Guildford, every Friday & Saturday night between 11pm - 4am. We fundraise each year to pay for uniforms, equipment, training and our part time admin staff. We will have a tea tent serving home made cakes and drinks for donations, with games for children, between 10am - 4pm on Bank holiday Monday, 4th May. Please come and support us, if you can and enjoy the breathtaking views across Surrey. 😇❤️🙏🏻

Last Easter weekend was a busy and meaningful one for us. Not only did we have two teams out on the streets at night, but our Chaplain, Rev Noelle Coe, was also invited to lead the Good Friday Walk of Witness and the sunrise Easter morning service at St. Martha's on-the-Hill.
It was a privilege to be part of the wider community again, especially at such a special time of year.
Our regular teams will be out again this weekend—so if anyone needs a listening ear or practical help, we’re here for you. 🙏🏻😇❤️
