As the dust settles after the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we’d like to celebrate all the amazing growers involved.
Chelsea wouldn’t be the same without the amazing plants that fill the Great Pavilion with scent, spectacle and wonder.

As well as those who grew plants for our Plant Heritage Missing Collector Garden, or took part in the Plant Heritage zone in the Great Pavilion, we also congratulate the other plant nurseries who won medals for their displays. It was fantastic to see lots of National Plant Collection holders on the list, including:

David Austin Roses - Gold
Dibleys Nurseries - Gold
English Sweet Peas - Gold
Growing Crazy for Pelargoniums - Silver Gilt
Hare Spring Cottage Plants - Gold
Hogarth Hostas - Gold
Hoyland Plant Centre- Agapanthus and Tulbaghia National Collection Holders - Gold
Ottershaw Cacti - Gold
Peter Beales Roses - Gold
Primrose Hall Peonies - Gold
Wack's Wicked Plants - Gold

If we missed you, just let us know!

Everyone at Plant Heritage is deeply saddened to hear that Matt Biggs has passed away after his recent battle with illness. Matt was a huge supporter of the charity and it's mission to conserve garden plants. Matt, at his core, was an amazing plantsman and as part of our Plants Collections Committee bought his incredible knowledge in assessing, supporting and accrediting our National Plant Collections.

Also a member of our Bursary committee, and always writing or talking about our collections, his ability to enthuse about both the plants and the people behind them meant he was a beloved communicator within and without the charity.

Members of the Plant Heritage family were very privileged to recently be in attendance when Matt was awarded his much deserved Victoria Medal of Honour (VMH) at RHS Wisley. We couldn't be prouder to have him as a friend and supporter of Plant Heritage in all its forms.

Our thoughts go to out to his Family, friends and the wider horticultural world that will have been both influenced and amazed by this ultimate plantsman.

Head into the Great Pavilion at RHS Chelsea and you'll find the Plant Heritage Zone.
It includes displays from:
🌸 Chelsea first-timer Luci Skinner who is showing her scented leaf Pelargonium collection
🌸 Brantwood Garens and Fiona Butcher who are displaying Wisteria for the first time in the Great Pavilion for over 20 years
🌸 Barry Clarke, who has also provided Rubus and Roscoea for the show garden.

We also have a display of plants that are protected in our National Plant Collections®, and some that still need someone to start a collection. Plus, our popular seed shop is back, with seed collected by Plant Heritage Members.

There are lots of nurseries at the show who have National Plant Collections®, just look out for the green plaques around the Great Pavilion.
