Bright Hope Education We are a registered, UK based Christian charity helping very poor and vulnerable children in Kenya access an education to lift them out of poverty.

We also support a feeding program for those children that might otherwise struggle to get a meal.

Her case was made known to Louise and BHE last Saturday.

Annia is a complete orphan needing to complete grade 10 this term.
No fees have been payed since her mother sadly died earlier this year.

We are happy to say she is In school NOW ! 😁🎉

Fauzia is off to College!!

Cosmus & Pastor Elijah boarding a matatu to this morning to Mombasa, with Fauzia. ... They are taking her to college.

Here you can see her before she leaves, with her mother & using a mobile phone given to her by Will & Lizzie Browne and family- Thankyou!

Pastor Elijah is also our relief night security guard at Rainbow House. He has good social work experience especially in child protection, so he is becoming part of our education team under Cosmus.
Elijah is likely to take on the older children, So he’s going to the college to see more about what they offer and have look around.

Today has been a busy day for Louise.
While she’s been out in Kenya she has organised a monthly ‘Saturday- Sunday School Prayer Days-that’s Sunday School on a Saturday! 😂, for our sponsored children & their families. Joining them has been Pastor Elijah and Rev Thomas,

They call them prayer days. They have bible stories and activities. Learn praise songs, time for collective worship, encouragement, a preaching word & prayers.

Today Elisha, one of our children, recited a memory verse; Psalm 100 - “Shout for joy to the Lord all you lands”. He was the only one able to recite it. Elisha did a good job learning it as his English is very poor.

The children also acted out a skit about the Good Samaritan.

After 'Saturday-Sunday School', the children have lunch.

Home visit to Jackan.

Louise visited Jackan at his home where she was able to give him a gift and letter from his sponsor.

She also met Jackan’s mother and elder brother, Lucky.

Looks like she also had fun with Jackan’s friends & children in the neighbourhood.

Louise visited Fatuma at her home. Fatuma is one of our children, sponsored through BHE.

If you remember, this was the other home that the ‘house build fundraiser’ helped with a new roof. Fatuma lives here with her mother Halima, her Father & younger siblings, Faron & Louise

Some external walls are being extended slowly, most has needed to be rebuilt after being washed away in the rainy season.

Fatuma’s father is a casual worker so if he has no employment he does renovations on his home.

He also helped Mary’s door build - for FREE. As a gift for what we had given them.

They are a lovely family.
