We are looking for sponsorship for Daniel.

Daniel is the 2nd born of 4 children. He is a healthy 9yr old boy who loves school, works hard and makes friends easily.

When at school he is a average performer. He studies Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, Creative Arts & Social Studies. His best subject is Mathematics and poorest is Kiswahili.

Daniel likes to play football & when not helping his family doing light jobs, he spends most of his spare time playing football with his friends.
On Sundays he attends church with his family.

When he grows up Daniel would like to be a professional footballer.

Daniel’s father was working in Nairobi and during this time he was able to build his family a good brick house, but unfortunately his employment came to an end & he is now unemployed. He picks up casual jobs when he can to support his family.
They manage to have 1, sometimes 2 meals a day.

This family are requesting help to pay school fees for Daniel plus buy school uniform, shoes and other school requirements.
Any assistance afforded them would be highly appreciated.

We are still seeking individual sponsors to support the education of several children in our project.

Your sponsorship could change a life.

Nelson is one of those children.

Nelson is one of five siblings who are orphans. Since being orphaned Nelson & his siblings have been cared for and schooled by a distant relative( Mr Kashero) and his family, which includes another three children.
All have been well cared for.

Now, only Nelson and his sibling Mourine are school students and Mourine has a Canadian sponsor.

Nelson’s interests are reading- both English & Swahili and he likes playing football.
He has big dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon!

At the moment Nelson attends school in Kilifi and is doing very well. He is averaging 87% in his subjects and is aiming to achieve higher than 90% in his end of year exams.

Mr Kashero has requested help from a sponsor for Nelson to continue his education into High School in January next year.( 2027)

God is so good 🙏

I apologise..This is a post I should have written a couple of months ago…

Back in August a bake sale was organised to raise funds for our children in Kenya.
The idea came from a lovely young boy named Thomas, who is just 11 and the grandson of Jean, one of BHE’s sponsors.

Jean was telling Thomas all about the children in Kenya and the work BHE does and Thomas felt in his heart that we needed to do something to raise some money. As he often bakes when visiting his Nana, he decided a cake sale was the way to go!
And so, the idea was born! Thomas even made the poster shown below.

The bake sale went much better than we had anticipated and raised £750 on the day. 🎉
Another £15 was donated later and Maranatha Community Church offered to make the donation up to £1000!!! 🎉

We give thanks firstly to God, to Thomas & Jean, to all who baked and all who bought and all who prayed and to Maranatha Community Church. 🙏❤️

This particular fundraising will support a Christmas package for all our 38 children. It will be practical things for education for next year , and something sweet, also a food package for each family represented.

This was the day that Louise visited Elisha and gave him a Bible & letter that his sponsor had gifted him.

Elisha is the boy in the middle with his brother & sister either side.

And surrounded by many children all wanting to take a look at his ‘book’.

This is Annia.

Her case was made known to Louise and BHE last Saturday.

Annia is a complete orphan needing to complete grade 10 this term.
No fees have been payed since her mother sadly died earlier this year.

We are happy to say she is In school NOW ! 😁🎉

Fauzia is off to College!!

Cosmus & Pastor Elijah boarding a matatu to this morning to Mombasa, with Fauzia. ... They are taking her to college.

Here you can see her before she leaves, with her mother & using a mobile phone given to her by Will & Lizzie Browne and family- Thankyou!

Pastor Elijah is also our relief night security guard at Rainbow House. He has good social work experience especially in child protection, so he is becoming part of our education team under Cosmus.
Elijah is likely to take on the older children, So he’s going to the college to see more about what they offer and have look around.
