Ushindi is another.
Ushindi is an 8 yr old girl who is the fifth born in a family of 10. Both parents are alive but unemployed. They support their family as best as they can by working casual jobs in the community.
Even so, they often struggle to afford their basic daily needs and at best are able to afford one meal a day but sometimes go without.
Unfortunately, Ushindi frequently misses school due to lack of fees, however, she works very hard when she is able to attend.
Despite all this Ushindi is well- disciplined and is always very happy and playful.
Although Ushindi’s family faces a number of challenges, the most important thing to them is that their children receive an education. They believe that with good education, their children’s circumstances will change.
