Casual update

Not much to report this weekend.

TA324 has had a run out, hasn't been driven since the 213 running day.
Certainly wasn't sluggish 🤭😏

Quite a nice drive out through the Surrey & Hampshire countryside.

501 has been parked in the corner.

4006, a couple of faults discovered and require attention before it hits the road again. Some major restoration work has begun with a post coming soon from Angus Bus Preservation Group, who will update you.

SD38 is looking very sorry for itself, so we're hoping this one gets the restoration it deserves in time.

501 🇬🇧

It's with a heavy heart that we post this one 😢

The owner of RSX 501M is deciding to sell due to them getting on now.
Time availability means that they need to focus on retirement and their other projects that they have inline.

So here we have our 6 cylinder, 5 speed Duple Dominant. First registered in England 2018 but spent most of its working life on the Isle of Man.

Another distant member who operates under our London & Surrey brand attended The Big Bus Show.

Not having much luck with DPS689 SN03LFE Preservation, their alternative had been to use WVL172 LX05FBL Preservation.
It's always great to see our members getting they're vehicles out for these events and proves that, though its costly to preserve these chariots, it's worth it in the long... Ruuuun 👍

As per their post and of course as a group, we're gonna share it 👆

3814 attended the annual Kent & East Sussex Railway at the weekend 😎 operatong on the 297 Tunbridge Wells > Tenderten and 73 (not sure where that goes as Google suggests Folkestone > Hawkinge) 😆 so quite possible.

But as always, no doubt 3814 performed faultlessly showing all the hard work that has gone into preserving this fine B7RLE.

➡️ 4607 - P607 CAY FOR SALE 💰

The current owner of 4607 is contemplating moving the former Arriva Olympian on.

Does need alot of time spent on it's restoration with the first job being a brand new set of batteries and some fuel, hasn't started or moved in about 6 months with our battery booster being underpowered for this beast!

Since purchasing from Angus Bus Preservation Group, it's sat in the corner whilst they concentrate on DPS692.
As you can more than likely agree the DPS looks absolutely amazing, so the attention to detail would of been put into 4607.

The owner is getting on now and will shortly be retiring, so we have been asked to put the interest out there.

🚌 And finally!

3814 GN06 EUU - will be attending the 500 running day in September.

We are looking forward to seeing the photos of this one on the day. 3814 has been an exciting part of the group and a new age for the owners, who haven't had much luck previously with a former Fastrack sister vehicle.

She's come a long way in the last couple of years. So, if you havent had the opportunity to ride 3814 as yet, now is the opportunity 😁

Another day, another announcement - we are very happy to share that The Southern Counties Preserved Collection have entered their 3814 into the 500 Running Day! This marks the first B7RLE to grace the route in almost half a decade, with Arriva Aylesbury's Voith-boxed KE05 FM* batch being mainstay for many years prior. If you want to see this and many other brilliant rear-engined buses, Hemel and Aylesbury are the places to be on the 19th of September.
