On Thursday 25th June we have our monthly talk at 7.30pm
This one is about staying safe on the internet in this changing world.
We hear so much about frauds and scams which didn't even exsist a decade ago.
It's worth a couple of hours just to keep your credentials safe.
You can even buy a glass of wine from the bar whilst you are listening or enjoy tea or coffee and a biscuit ( which come with the entry price of £5)

🚧 A595 Grizebeck Improvement Scheme Update 🚧

The new A595 road at Grizebeck remains on track to open in July 2026! This will bring safer and more reliable journeys for the area.

To complete the final works, temporary traffic measures will be in place:
🚦 Convoy traffic on the A595/A5092 from 29 June – 3 July
⛔ Full closure between Dove Bank and Chapels from 17–19 July (with contingency dates 24–26 July if needed)

There will also be no through access between Chapels and Grizebeck during the closure. Diversions will affect residents in Grizebeck, Dove Bank and Chapels.

Thanks to everyone for your patience while these important improvements are completed.

Thankyou to Geneve Bartholomew Brand Editor of Cumbria Life Magazine for a brilliant talk last night.So interesting!
Geneve has left some complimentary copies of Cumbria Life at the hall if anyone would like one. The hall is open until 11.30am this morning if anyone wants to drop in for a copy.

Our quiz takes place this Friday 22nd May.Everyone welcome and you can pay at the door.
The following week at Flowerguild there is a floral demonstration on Wednesday and a talk by the Editor of Cumbria life on the Thursday.
