For young people aged 8–10½, Cubs gives them the opportunity to become more independent, develop confidence and try a huge variety of activities.

From experiments and badge work to camps, outdoor cooking, adventurous activities and time on the water, there's plenty to get involved with.

Beavers are aged 6–8 and their meetings are packed with opportunities to learn, explore and have fun.

They might be learning how to tie their shoelaces one week, cooking the next and then heading outside for games, walks or adventures!

And because we're Sea Scouts, they even get opportunities to experience activities on the water during the summer. 🌊

This week, our Scouts focused on some essential Scouting skills, including fire lighting and learning how to put up unfamiliar tents.

While the main group got stuck into their practical skills, our older Scouts continued preparing for their Chief Scout’s Gold Expedition, including tasting and comparing different meals ready for their hike ahead. 🥾🍲

This week, our Cubs continued working towards their Scientist Activity Badge, exploring energy through a range of fun, hands-on activities.

They experimented with oobleck, built marshmallow and spaghetti towers, and raced balloon rockets along a string to see energy in action! 🎈🧪

A brilliant evening of experimenting, building, testing and plenty of teamwork!
