🐾🏕️ Cub Sleepover Adventure 🏕️🐾

This weekend, the Cubs enjoyed an exciting sleepover at our Scout Hut. The weekend included an urban walk into Cleethorpes, where everyone enjoyed a well-earned ice cream before heading back for more activities.

The Cubs cooked on open fires, developing their outdoor skills, and taking part in a variety of fun games throughout the weekend.

Sleepovers are a fantastic opportunity for Cubs to build confidence, develop independence, strengthen friendships and create lasting memories in a safe and supportive environment. It also gives them the chance to experience new activities, challenge themselves and continue learning valuable skills.

Well done to all the Cubs for making it such a fun and successful weekend!

🐦🌿 Working Towards Our Naturalist Badge 🌿🐦

As part of their Naturalist Badge, the Cubs got creative and made their own bird feeders. These will be placed around our grounds to help attract a variety of bird species over the coming months.

The Cubs are looking forward to observing and identifying the different birds that visit, learning more about local wildlife and the important role birds play in our environment.

🎒🐾 Getting Ready for Our Cub Sleepover! 🐾🎒

Ahead of our upcoming Cub sleepover, we spent the evening practising essential packing skills. The Cubs worked together to identify appropriate items to pack for a short walk, a day hike, and a weekend away.

This fun, hands-on activity helped everyone think about what they might need in different situations and encouraged independence and good planning skills ahead of our adventure.

The Cubs enjoyed a walk to a local outdoor space where they took part in a variety of fun outdoor games, testing their teamwork, communication and energy levels! ☀️🎯

We finished the evening with some well-earned time on the play park, giving everyone the chance to have fun and burn off any remaining energy.

A great evening outdoors with plenty of smiles, laughter and adventure! 😊

The Cubs had a fantastic time celebrating the Venice Festival! From creative mask making and colourful costume designing to taking part in their very own catwalk, everyone got fully involved in the fun. 🎨👗

The room was filled with music, laughter, and lots of creativity as the Cubs showed off their amazing designs with confidence and style. What a brilliant way to learn about a famous festival and express their imagination! 🎶🌟

Throughout the weekend, every activity counted towards their final score, with patrols competing in a range of challenges to earn valuable points. From teamwork and problem-solving to camp skills and determination, everyone gave it their all in the race to be crowned the winning patrol! 👏🔥

🏕️ Epsilon Challenge Camp – Part 2!

After a full weekend of challenges, teamwork, and competition at Cherrygarth Scout Campsite, the final scores were counted and the winning patrol was revealed! 🏆

From campcraft and cooking to problem-solving and teamwork, every Scout showed fantastic determination and spirit throughout the camp. A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped make the weekend such a success! 🔥

What a fantastic week for our Scouts! 🚤

We were excited to officially unveil our brand new powerboat (To the group) — made possible thanks to all the hard work and fundraising efforts across the group. This is a huge milestone for us and we can’t wait to get out on the water this season!

After the unveiling, the team got stuck into preparing for the upcoming Epsilon Camp by putting up patrol tents indoors. There was some brilliant teamwork on display as everyone worked together to get the tents pitched, sorted, and packed away efficiently.

We wrapped up the evening with a quick game — the perfect end to a busy and productive meeting!
