Some Fleetwood Mac, The Hobo style.

The space where the musicians perform today was once an old storage room. Years ago, bands used to practise in here. It certainly didn’t look like it does today, but the music has continued.

The space was restored and brought back to life, and it’s always great to see it being filled with music once again.

Thanks again to The Hobo, Starvin Sid and the Infernal Resurrection, and all the performers who joined us over the weekend.

And also a special thank you to everyone who took part in the Sailor Sessions open mic night on Friday. We’ve got some of those performances to share with you soon.

Another recovery meeting at The Comeback. Another 19 people in the room, in less than a week.

Different ages, different backgrounds, different stories, but all coming together with the same goal: recovery.

We can take some credit for the work we've been doing for many years, but we certainly can't take all the credit.

Something bigger is happening across our area. More people are finding recovery, and we're starting to see a new wave of people coming through the doors.

A new generation finding recovery in their own way, and discovering that there are people, places and different routes available to help them get there.

We should all be pushing in the same direction and wanting the same thing: recovery that is accessible to everyone.

For us, 19 people in a meeting isn't just a number.

It's 19 people choosing to show up, connect and find a way forward.

And when you see it happening again and again, you know something is happening.

Our regular Sailor Sessions Open Mic Night is back on Friday 18th September. We're slightly earlier this month (normally the last Friday of the Month) and the mic is waiting for you...

Musicians and Poets welcome to come and take the stage... Covers are welcome, originals are encouraged!

No booking needed, just turn up and give it a go, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

On the 28th of June at the Blackgull, we've got two of our regular favourites 'Grungy Bill' and 'Brad Arliss' playing a special show for us...

'Bill and Brad's Excellent Adventure!' - in their words, 'History is about to be rewritten by two guys who can't spell!' We can't wait to see what they have in store for us.

Its another free event as part of our 'Sober Sessions' line-up for 2026. We've got lots more bands lining up to come and play at our venue over the summer, so keep an eye out for more announcements!

The community kitchen will be open for hot food and the café for speciality Coffees, Teas and cold drinks. Might even get the barbecue out if its nice!

Doors open at 2pm, music starts at 3pm. We look forward to seeing you there...
