Our amazing volunteers were out in the garden yesterday, getting stuck in and helping keep the space welcoming for our clients… despite the very British weather!

Whatever the weather brings, our volunteers continue to show up, get stuck in and make a difference 💙

This afternoon we were grateful to welcome Tina North East Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, who joined us to help refresh and build on our staff and volunteers’ knowledge around addiction and substance misuse.

These are issues that can play a huge part in someone’s journey away from the streets, and having the right knowledge and understanding is so important when it comes to providing effective, compassionate support.

We’re always looking to refresh our knowledge, learn new things and strengthen our understanding so that we can continue to support all of our clients in the best way possible 💙

Sometimes, getting back on your feet starts with getting back to something you love!

Our client has told us about his experience working in kitchens, and he’s been enjoying putting those skills back into practice by helping to prepare meals at Harbour Place 👨‍🍳

Homelessness can take away so much more than a place to live. It can mean losing routines, confidence and the things that you once enjoyed.

Part of what we do at Harbour Place is helping people reconnect with those things. Whether it’s cooking, gardening, art or skills they haven’t used in a while.

Finding that spark again can be a really important part of moving forward 💙

Happy Birthday our lovely Housekeeper, Sarah 🥳

It’s easy for the less visible roles to go unnoticed, but they are absolutely essential to everything we do.

Sarah is the person making sure our rooms are clean and comfortable for people who are coming in from the streets.

We couldn’t do what we do without her, and today we wanted to make sure she knows just how appreciated she is!

So, from all of us at Harbour Place, Happy Birthday Sarah! 💙🎉

Harbour Place currently has donation drop-off bins at Holy Trinity GCI, making it quick and easy to support people facing homelessness in our community.

🚨 URGENT APPEAL – UNDERWEAR NEEDED 🚨

We are urgently appealing for donations of men’s underwear to support people experiencing homelessness in our community.

Underwear is a basic necessity, and we want to ensure that the people accessing our services have access to essential items when they need them most.

As a charity, we are doing everything we can to provide the support and essentials our service users need, but we rely heavily on the generosity of our local community to help us keep our supplies stocked.

If you are able to help, there are two simple ways you can donate:

Our Project Manager and Community Engagement Officer are out and about, talking with people on outreach, checking in to make sure everyone is okay in the heat, and making sure people who are rough sleeping are aware of the support and services we can offer.

It’s all about connecting with people, offering support, and making sure no one is left without help when they need it 💙

Another wonderful afternoon spent in our garden with our amazing clients 🌸🌿

It is brilliant to see everyone putting in so much effort and enthusiasm as we work together to transform our outdoor space into a beautiful area for everyone to enjoy.

We can’t wait to see how the garden continues to flourish!
