Like many of the wonderful local businesses and organisations joining in the fun following His Majesty's visit to Grimsby, we couldn't resist imagining a very special stop-off at the newly renovated back store of 3rd Cleethorpes Scouts!

Before anyone asks - yes, this image was created using AI and isn't a real photograph. But our pride in what we've achieved certainly is. Thanks to a lot of hard work, teamwork and volunteer effort, our store is looking better than ever and ready to support all the adventures ahead.

While King Charles may not have actually popped in for a tour, we always welcome visitors, volunteers and anyone who would like to lend a hand or support what we do. There's always a project on the go, and many hands really do make light work!

Tonight, our Beavers began working towards their Gardener Badge! ๐ŸŒฑ

We started by exploring a variety of gardening tools, learning what each one is used for and how to use them safely. We also discussed what plants need to grow and thrive.

Once we had mastered the basics, it was time to get our hands dirty. Beavers planted their own choice of seeds and young plants, kindly donated to take home and nurture. Over the coming weeks, they'll be responsible for caring for their plants and watching them grow as they work towards completing their badge.

We can't wait to see how their gardening projects flourish! Keep us updated ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿชด๐ŸŒฟ

Cubs worked in their sixes to create part of a crazy golf course, before getting to try out their creations. Some of them were definitely impossible but lived to see their creativity and also some fantastic teamwork ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

We ended the evening wishing a special member of our group a very happy birthday ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฅณ

This week, our Beavers took on an exciting Campfire Challenge! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Working brilliantly as a team, they learned how to safely build and manage their own fires while following important fire safety rules. Above each fire hung a piece of string, and their challenge was to keep the fire burning steadily until it burned through the string โ€” a fantastic test of teamwork, patience, and skill.

To finish off a great evening outdoors, everyone enjoyed some delicious sโ€™mores around the campfire. ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Well done, Beavers, for a fun-filled and successful challenge night! ๐Ÿฆซ

Welcome back, Beavers! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

We kicked off the new term with an action-packed Nerf battle ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Working brilliantly in teams, the Beavers built their own bases, gathered ammo and got straight into into an exciting team showdown.

To top it all off, we ended with a fun shoot the leaders game which is always a firm favourite ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

A fantastic start to the term, full of teamwork, creativity, and plenty of energy. We canโ€™t wait for whatโ€™s ahead! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿฆซ

Our Squirrel and Beaver groups had a fantastic visit to Linkage College for a very special animal experience! ๐Ÿพ

They learnt all about different types of animals and their needs, before having the amazing opportunity to meet them up close. There were plenty of curious questions and lots of excitement all round ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

A huge thank you to Linkage College for hosting such a fun, engaging, and memorable visitโ€”both the children and volunteers really appreciate it ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฆœ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿน๐Ÿ€

Our Beavers and Cub groups had a fantastic visit from author Megan, who's WWII stories are bought from people all around the world ๐ŸŒŽ
Across two fun-filled sessions, Megan brought history to lifeโ€”teaching us about wartime food, what it was like to be an evacuee, and even how to respond to air raid sirens (which our groups absolutely mastered by the end!).

It was an engaging, hands-on experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you, Meg, for such memorable and inspiring sessions! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
