I quickly realised I probably confused a lot of people about my sudden job change to a penguin party planner.

Unfortunately the video i posted is time limited for social media. So allow me to explain here.

We've found a few old penguin wrappers on our litterpicks. Most of you know these as the chocolate biscuits with a rubbish joke on the back. My curiosity peaked when I found one so old, there was no joke on the back!

Since then I've been looking for more, but surprisingly they don't turn up often!

Fortunately, our friend has many cool and interesting wrappers that are in great condition and one of them was about a party planner book offer. I had to have it. After a successful heist from the Mcvities factory, it's now mine to show you in a slightly long 5 minute video.

It contains guides on how to have a successful penguin party with various themes. The £1 in coupons are also very interesting to see! Watch the reel if you are curious to learn more!

Did you ever have a penguin party back in the 80s? Have you ever found any joke-less Penguin wrappers on a litter pick?

Where's Ellie-Belly been?

Sadly, Ellie hasn't been able to come with us to some recent events following her trip to the Ventist (Vet Dentist) 🦷

Somehow she managed to split one of her back teeth almost in two and was struggling to eat on this side of her mouth. After a successful extraction at the vets, she's been recovering with some pain relief.

We visited Weelsby Woods today with her and did a quick litterpick to keep ontop of the weekly rubbish. She's doing well but very sad that she can't have her daily carrot 🥕 for a short while until her mouth heals.

Thank you to those who've seen her / us since and asked how she is doing. Fingers crossed she will be back to normal soon.

Many thanks to everyone who came by our stall today at the Market Rasen 'Wildlife In Your Backyard' day.

We've been here for the second time so far and each year it seems to be getting bigger and better.

There were lots of stalls including our friend White’s Wildlife Watch and Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project and most importantly - sharing the stall with our bezzie mate The Canoe River Cleaner

We had some really good chats with everyone who stopped by, shared memories of the old litter we had on display and talking about how we all want to try to be part of the solution. It was really great. Thank you all!

Extra special thanks to the event organisers for having us back again.

📢 HEY YOU! 📢

Get yourself down to Market Rasen TOMORROW and see all the lovely nature themed stalls here. It's free admission and you will definitely find something here that interests you!

Our litterpicking husband The Canoe River Cleaner will be there with his boat.

I'll be there with a fantastic collection of old litter, some as old as 1950!

Come along and say hello!

A bunch of us cleared the litter from this area many years ago, as it became a dumping ground for over 10 years. It seems like it will now be used for something which is good because it was being abused by flytippers and many fires started here. Hopefully this is a good start for the area.

Thanks Paul for the update and the constant go to with LHP on issues.

Larch Crescent Update: Hi all. Great call with LHP this morning about this area. They will be investing a significant sum into clearing and fencing off the site, before Christmas. The clearance will be a precursor to building. But building won't happen quickly. They almost certainly won't build the 90 homes that they currently have planning permission for. I have been talking to them about:

1. Support for veterans
2. Support for low income residents
3. Support for elderly looking to stay in a neighbourhood with no downsizing options in their current property
4. Assisted living property
5. Community spirit (veterans like cutting grass for pensioners, it turns out)
6. Community living (allotments and a library of things – like a repair shop)

Maybe a smaller project of half that number of houses - but something more suited to the needs of local folks.

I have been doing this for two+ years - since we did that community clean up. Projects like this are complicated and we Indies have brought our own friends in to shape a plan - architects, people who run social housing, finance. This isn't protest and arm-waving. This is a group of professionals trying to improve our Ward.

You'll see work starting soon - so at least the area will be made safer. The more exciting work will take time - I will keep you posted on that as news becomes available. Please do share this.

"Look out for the wildlife" they said. Pick litter and stop them from getting hurt.

NO. They mean LOOK OUT for the wildlife! They may just go crazy and attack!!

Many thanks to our pal Sir David Attenborough for taking the time to voice today's clip, I know he's been very busy as he is still trying to blow all his birthday candles out.

Look out for Wildlife!!!

P.S David Attenborough is a national treasure.
