Grimsby in Bloom

What a day yesterday! So many people saw our post about the new plant sales area, we had a steady stream of visitors all day. We barely had time to keep the shelves stocked—not that we’re complaining! It was lovely to welcome so many new faces, especially those who said they’ll be back.

We have plenty of stock left, but get down before we sell out.

A brilliant result all round.

It’s that time again! Six weeks have flown by, and our next Repair Café is on Saturday 17 October, from 10am to 2pm.

Got broken items gathering dust at home? Bring them along and let us see if we can give them a new lease of life.

While you are with us you can have a butty and drink in our cafe, or you can get your plants from our newly refurbished plant sales area. If this doesn't appeal to you then have a wander around the garden while your item is being checked.

We have a number of items that we've had for at least 6 months. They have bèen mended, so will be sold or disposed off if not picked up. Thank you!

Are you green-fingered and passionate about home-grown vegetables?

Perhaps you once had an allotment and would like to put your gardening skills to good use. Or maybe you simply enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.

If that sounds like you, we need your help!

Grimsby in Bloom is looking for a volunteer to help care for the allotment at our Pavilion Garden. The work is flexible and can fit around your everyday commitments. There will be others on site to help with this when needed.

Interested? Please get in touch with the Grimsby in Bloom team.

On 24 September, we reported that some planters had been taken from The Pavilion Garden.

Last week, we received a message with a photo showing their location. We passed this information to the local police team, and lo and behold the planters have been returned to us today.

Local policing works - thank you
