Sometimes making a difference doesn’t mean pushing yourself through a brutal workout, running miles or taking on an impossible challenge.

Sometimes it starts with something as simple as sitting down, having a cuppa and bringing people together. ❤️

And that’s exactly what THE BIG BREW is all about!

Lifetime Fitness is teaming up with BlackGull Community Venue for a very special charity coffee morning, raising money for Sunflowers Children’s Action Group 🌻

☕ WHAT’S HAPPENING?

🍰 HOMEMADE CAKES – Our incredible Lifetime Fitness community will be baking some delicious treats, with cake sales helping raise money for charity!

🎟️ THE BIG GIVE CHARITY RAFFLE – Come and see some of the fantastic prizes up for grabs and grab yourself some raffle tickets!

🥊 CLIENTS VS COACH – PAYBACK! – Your chance to contribute to the challenge and make my life even more miserable! All for charity, of course!

🧸 SPECIAL GUESTS! – Robert and Elsie will be joining us, so make sure you come and say hello!

💛 DONATIONS – Every penny donated will help us support the incredible work of The Sunflowers Children’s Action Group.

BUT THIS IS ABOUT MORE THAN JUST RAISING MONEY.

It’s about community.

It’s about conversation.

It’s about getting people together, sharing a laugh, meeting new faces and reminding ourselves that even the smallest gestures can make a massive difference.

You don’t have to be a Lifetime Fitness member.

You don’t have to know anyone.

We are very happy to throw our support behind Lab Cocoa and hope you will consider casting a vote for them for the difference they make to our families.

We have been using Lab Cocoa to deliver workshops for our families for around five years now. Each workshop is designed and tweaked with our families’ needs in mind. They build skills, confidence, friendships, and most importantly, memories.

We are absolutely delighted to share that Lab Cocoa has been shortlisted as a finalist in THREE awards in the 2026 Yorkshire, Humberside and North East Family Business Awards, organised by The Family Business Community. They celebrate family-run businesses across the region, covering sectors from food and retail to tourism and manufacturing.

This Sunday, 18th October, Lifetime Fitness will be taking on 3 HOURS OF HYBRID STRENGTH in support of Sunflowers Children’s Action Group

And we’re asking for your help one more time!

Throughout 2026, we’ve challenged ourselves physically and mentally, pushed through some incredibly tough events and, most importantly, come together to raise money for a charity that does some truly amazing things for children and their families.

And now we’re so close to that £4,000 TARGET!

But we’re not quite there yet.

So this Sunday, we’re digging deep, putting in the work and giving absolutely everything we’ve got to make that final push towards our goal!

💛 AND THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOU! 💛

You don’t need to be taking part in the workout to make a difference.

Whether it’s £1, £2, £5 or whatever you can spare, every single donation brings us another step closer.

Because while we’ll be putting ourselves through three hours of physical challenges, there are children and families out there facing battles far greater than anything we’ll experience in a gym.

That’s why we organise these events.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…

It’s about showing up for others when it matters most.

It’s about proving that when ordinary people come together with a shared purpose, extraordinary things can happen.

A MASSIVE DRUM ROLL PLEASE for John Roe Toyota for raising such an incredible amount of money through their golf day and football match.

Standing in front of the very stylish electric vehicle that John Roe are currently sponsorsing for Sunflowers are our trustee Derek McAndrew and MD Tom Roe.

Children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions can miss out on so much often taken for granted in childhood, for example, friendships, laughter and inclusion. That's why our volunteers work hard to try and normalise, as far as possible, childhoods which are often dominated by hospitals, painful treatments and isolation. But, we can only do so much.

Every penny we put into making a difference to our families, including those from Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham, Scunthorpe, Goole, Hull and beyond is raised by people like those employed by John Roe Toyota. They have put so very much into the success of these events, and on behalf of our families, we want to say a huge thank you to you for making a difference.

Our John Roe Toyota charity golf day and football match raised a fantastic £1,772 for our chosen charity, Sunflowers Children’s Action Group. 🌻

Run by volunteers, this small charity creates special, inclusive events for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated and supported both events. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💛

We are always so grateful to everyone who raises funds, organises activities and spreads the word about ‘Sunflowers’. Your kindness makes so much possible for our children and families.

With AI becoming an easy and popular way to create posters and posts, we’re seeing different versions of our logo appear. We know these are made with the very best intentions, so we wanted to explain why using our official “In aid of” logo matters.

1) It helps us stay connected. Please contact us when planning your activity or event, tell us about your plans and request the logo. This helps us know what is being organised in our name, support you and answer any enquiries—an important part of looking after our supporters and the charity. We have a link we can send you to a form to complete, once completed if anyone calls to check on details or try and get in touch with the organiser, we have those details to pass on.

2) Our charity number is included. It helps people identify the registered charity they are supporting and ensures this important detail isn’t accidentally left out.

3) It makes Sunflowers Children’s Action Group immediately recognisable. Keeping the same logo helps people recognise and feel confident about the charity their generosity is helping.

4) It keeps our identity consistent. Our logo represents our children, families and the work we do together. Using it as supplied helps keep that familiar connection wherever it appears—the same care we would encourage for any charity’s logo.
