Yesterday, representatives from our Primary Care reception team attended the NEC in Birmingham for the PMA Awards, where the CPG Primary Care Reception Team had been shortlisted for Reception Team of the Year. Although the team did not win the award, being shortlisted is a significant achievement and recognition of their hard work.

Kirsty, Manager of Open Door and Quayside, said,

We will be at the World Mental Health Day event on Monday 12 October, at Centre 4, Grimsby, from 10am to 3pm.

We’ll be there alongside local organisations and services, offering information, advice and guidance about adult social care, including support that may be available to help people live independently and improve their wellbeing.

The event is a great opportunity to find out more about local support, meet friendly faces and explore simple ways to look after your wellbeing.

Last week, our Chief Executive Lisa Revell, alongside colleagues from Care Plus Group, had the pleasure of attending the HCP Health & Care Excellence Awards, an evening celebrating some incredible people across North East Lincolnshire. ✨

We were especially proud to sponsor the Culture of Kindness category because kindness sits at the heart of everything we do in health and social care.

A huge congratulations to Fran Smith from Alderlea Care Home, the very deserving recipient of the Culture of Kindness award! 🏆👏

Meet the Hidden Heroes of FOLS

Today, on , we're shining a spotlight on our incredible Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS) team.

Working largely behind the scenes, this specialist team makes a real difference to the lives of adults with a learning disability and/or autism who are involved in, or at risk of becoming involved in, the criminal justice system.

Since launching in March 2021, FOLS has provided expert support across North East Lincolnshire in both hospital and community settings. Through collaborative, person-centred approaches, the team helps people access the right support at the right time, promoting positive outcomes and reducing the risk of further involvement with the justice system.

Behind every person supported by FOLS is a network of dedicated professionals. Today, we'd also like to thank our colleagues and partners across local services and organisations who work alongside the team to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

This week, some of the Palliative Care services team recently welcomed Matthew Bown from Kettles Funeral Care, on behalf of Co-op Funeralcare, to deliver an informative presentation on the funeral process.

The session provided staff members with valuable insights into how the funeral industry supports families following a patient's death, from the initial arrangements through to the funeral itself. It was a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the services available and how funeral providers work in partnership with healthcare professionals to ensure patients and their loved ones receive compassionate, dignified care and support at the end of life and beyond.
