This week is 🌻

According to the House of Commons Library UK Disability Statistics, 16.8 million people in the UK (25% of the population) have a disability, and up to 80% have a non-visible condition.

In simpler terms: A quarter of the UK's population is disabled, and 4/5ths of that population has a disability that isn't visible.

Invisible disabilities cover a massive spectrum, including (but not limited to):

🔹 Mental health conditions
🔹 Neurodivergence (like autism or ADHD)
🔹 Chronic pain & illness
🔹 Respiratory illnesses
🔹 Learning differences.

The theme for this year's week is "I am invisible no more." It’s a powerful reminder to challenge what we assume disability 'looks' like, and call for true inclusion - designing environments, workplaces, and communities that work for everyone.

How confident are you about checking your breasts for signs of breast cancer? Almost a third (29%) of women in England who regularly check their breasts, don’t feel confident to notice a change.

So together, we’re making sure more women get the information they need to spot the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and know where to go if they notice something unusual.

And if you want to get into the habit of checking your breasts, it’s as simple as TLC:

- Touch your breasts or chest
- Look for changes
- Check anything new or unusual with your GP
