📌 How to Find Us

As we prepare to launch our autumn/winter timetables we thought a reintroduction of where we are was a good idea!

Our Big Pictures buildings are located at 17-21 Bethlehem Steet in the heart of Grimsby.

🎨 Our Big Picture run all workshops, exhibitions and events from number 21 (that’s the door on the left!)

📚 The magical Rabbit Hole bookshop are number 17, that’s the door on the right!

⭐️ We also have a 2 bed Airbnb, perfect for anyone working in Grimsby or looking for somewhere central for their stay 👉 bookable direct through Airbnb.

🚏 All major bus routes stop right outside and we are less than a 2 minute walk from Grimsby Town Train Station.

🅿️ There’s ample parking in the town centre with the train station car park being the closest to us or Garden Steert being a cheaper alternative.

We’re looking forward to our autumn/winter workshops, exhibitions and events and welcoming new and old faces to Our Big Picture 💫

Art in the Yard | A new event supporting Arts & Culture in the heart of Grimsby.

We are super excited to launch Art in the Yard, a day celebrating arts, culture and heritage on Saturday 12th September at Our Big Picture.

⭐️ Artists Yard Sale
⭐️ Water Memories & Flood Futures young people’s exhibition launch (in partnership with the Energy & Environment Institute from the University of Hull)
⭐️ Live music
⭐️ Food & drinks

👉 We are building our programme of artists for the yard sale now! If you are a traditional or contemporary artist, painter, printmaker, illustrator or maker interested in having a stall at the yard sale you can book now 🔗 link in bio 👍

We are also keen to hear from musicians and food vendors who would like to be part of the line-up!

Our Big Picture are super excited to launch a new Young Artist Open Exhibition, celebrating the creativity of 4 - 19 year olds across NE Lincolnshire 🎉✏️

Entries are invited to respond to a theme of ‘Our Town’ for exhibition at Our Big Picture in October.

We are honoured that the Bradbury Foundation have supported us to ensure every young person has the opportunity to enter and we are running 3 family friendly workshops throughout August to create your entry. Each workshop will be supported by a brilliant artist and you are welcome to come to as many as you’d like!

⭐️ Children under 7 will need a parent/guardian to stay with them and you are very welcome to get involved 🎨

🎟️ All workshops are FREE but please do book a space so we know who to expect 🔗 link to book in bio 👍

✏️ Thursday 20th August, 11am - 1pm with Anna Bean

Discover > Computer Games Design 👾

We had a brilliant day at the Grimsby Institute with the Games Design team. In this full day workshop we learnt to deconstruct games using Tic Tac Toe! Using a simple traditional game to experiment with how it’s made and learn the mechanics.

The afternoon was spent using Unity, game development software to create simple games and experiment.

What a brilliant opportunity for young creatives. Huge thanks to Mark at Grimsby Institute for leading this fantastic workshop.

How beautiful does our Grade 2 listed home on Grimsby’s high street look? We’ve had some new photos taken and couldn’t resist sharing.

Following our full access renovation, conservation and repair project during 2025, the final job was to repaint the front and update the signage, and with the Rabbit Hole joining the family we couldn’t be happier at how bright and vibrant it looks ⭐️

Our Big Picture is located in number 21 - that’s the door on the left! This is where we run workshops, exhibitions, community events and more!

The Rabbit Hole Bookshop is in number 17-19 - the door on the right! The most magical place we’ve ever seen 📚

We’ve also got a 2-bed flat available to book on Airbnb - perfect for anyone needing to stay in the town centre and super close to bus and train links.

We love our home on the highstreet and are proud to share it with our creative communities 💫

We’ve got loads on for creative kids this week!

On Wednesday we’ve got an amazing day planned at the The Grimsby Institute with a full day Computer Games Design workshop as part of our Discover programme! Led by the games design team using state of the art facilities, this is going to be an awesome day!

We’ve had the best start to our DISCOVER > Creative Summer Workshop programme with ceramicist Abbie aka Sunshine Child 🌞

Abbie taught clay modelling techniques and the young creatives designed and created insect inspired models using clay and coloured slip!

The designs are currently with Oli at Turnpenney Pottery waiting to fully dry out to be fired. We’re super excited for the final creations!

Huge thanks to Abbie Abbie for leading a brilliant & inspiring creative workshop ⭐️

And to Oli pottery studio for sorting materials and firing 🔥
