Oasis Hub South Grimsby Creating and building all inclusive communities. We offer opportunities for extended learning beyond the core Academy day.

Our extended provision through our Hub Team is at the centre of our community work. The team deliver a wide range of services which engage public, voluntary and local businesses throughout North East Lincolnshire. We aspire to be at the heart the community creating an holistic approach to living and learning. Being socially accepted, creating change and supporting individuals and families to be mo

re at one, by understanding their educational, emotional, spiritual, and economic needs. As such, we believe in working with communities that are holistic, interconnected and totally inclusive. We call our model for these communities ‘HUB’. For more information on how we can support people burdened by the pressures of social change, create ways for families to grow together and working with disengaged young people.

☀️ As summer draws to a close, we’re celebrating the people at the heart of our communities.

It’s been a fantastic summer across the South Ward, with families making memories through HAF-funded trips to Hubbard’s Hills, Wild Pines Park, Pinewood Park, Flamingo Land and Green Futures.

Residents also came together for two community clean-up events, with 15 skips provided across the South Ward through support from partner agencies. The pride, energy and commitment of local people made these events a huge success.

💛 Families and young people have worked alongside our family support workers to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.

🚲 Bike Barn volunteers have repaired and recycled bikes, helping residents access employment, education and exercise.

🤝 Residents have continued to shape Helpful Fridays, with partner agencies listening, responding and providing support where it’s needed.

🥫 Our food pantry has continued providing emergency food parcels and will see some changes from September.

📣 Residents, agencies and partners have shared their experiences and ideas to help shape the South Ward Plan, ensuring local voices guide what happens next.

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part, volunteered, shared an idea, supported a neighbour or worked alongside others. Everything achieved this summer has been possible because of you. 💛

From 3pm today until Tuesday 1st September, our community space will close so our hardworking staff can enjoy some well-earned rest.

We’ll be back in September, ready to keep listening, working together and creating lasting change—led by our communities.

Bring on September! 💛

Do you live in the South Ward?

We are working with local people to make a community plan for South Ward.
This plan will help us understand what affects people’s health and wellbeing, including homes, the area people live in, jobs, the community and how people travel.

This short, three-question survey is for anyone who lives, learns or works in South Ward, including children and young people, to share what matters most.
