We’re absolutely thrilled to have Santa on our side again this year, helping us raise vital funds for our Little Lives Appeal! ❤️

Santa has a very special offer for all the good boys and girls… ✨

For a £5 donation per child, Santa will write a personalised letter and send it straight to your door, bringing a little extra Christmas magic to your family! 🎁📮

Each special Santa pack will include:
🎅 A personalised letter from Santa

⭐ A Good List sticker
🎨 Festive activities to enjoy

📮 Letters will be ready for posting from early December, making them the perfect way to add some extra sparkle to the festive season!

A huge thank you to Clowns in the Sky for their incredibly generous donation of a trolley filled with wonderful resources for our Disney Ward at Scunthorpe General Hospital ✨

These resources will make such a difference to our younger patients while they’re spending time in hospital, helping to bring a little fun, comfort and distraction to their stay.

We’ve launched a new lottery scheme, giving supporters the chance to win cash prizes while helping raise vital funds for patients and families
The BIG Lotto for Health Charities is a new shared lottery that brings NHS charities together under one umbrella, helping them raise more money while keeping costs low. For every £1 entry, 60p goes directly to the supporter’s chosen charity, with any additional donations also benefiting that cause.
By taking part, players will be entered into weekly draws featuring a top prize of £1,000, a second prize of £100, 270 £5 prizes and a rollover jackpot of up to £10,000.
Funds raised through the lottery will support our work to enhance care and experiences across local hospitals, funding projects that go beyond what NHS budgets can provide. This includes improving hospital environments, supporting staff wellbeing and investing in equipment and services that benefit patients and their families.
The scheme is fully managed, with licensing, compliance, payments and player support handled centrally, allowing the charity to focus on maximising the impact of the money raised.
Every ticket purchased will help us continue funding projects that make a real difference across our hospitals and communities.

💚One incredible challenge. Two very special people. One important cause.🧡

In 2025, Nick lost both his mum and his dad.
Both deaths were related to heart problems, and incredibly, both spent their final days in the same hospital ward — C1 Glover, the primary cardiac unit at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby.

During an incredibly difficult year, the care his Mum and Dad received from the team at C1 Glover meant so much to Nick and his family. Their compassion, professionalism and dedication made an enormous difference during those final days.

Now, in their memory, Nick is taking on something completely outside his comfort zone.

On 17 October 2026, at the age of 65, Nick will take on his first IRONMAN 70.3 in Cascais, Portugal.

That means:

🏊 1.9 km sea swim
🚴 90 km bike ride
🏃 21.1 km run

All completed consecutively on the same day.

Nick is taking on this challenge for his Mum and Dad, to celebrate their lives, to say thank you to the incredible team at C1 Glover, to raise awareness of the importance of heart health ❤️ and also raising money for The Health Tree Foundation.

After everything his family went through in 2025, this is Nick’s way of turning something incredibly painful into something positive — while helping others along the way.

Today, Jess is taking on an incredible 20-mile walk along the Edale Skyline in the Peak District to raise money for the Vulnerabilities Team at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby. 💚🧡
The team is raising funds to create a sensory garden, providing a much-needed calming and supportive space for those they care for.
Jess has received such amazing support from this wonderful team and now wants to give something back by helping them reach their fundraising goal. ❤️
