🏃‍♀️🧡 A Huge Congratulations and Thank You to Heather! 💚 🏃‍♀️

We would like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to Heather, who successfully completed the Manchester Marathon and raised £800 for the Intensive Care Unit at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Heather chose to support the ICU after her son, Ryan, received outstanding care from the team in 2025. Wanting to give something back and show her appreciation, Heather took on the incredible challenge of running a marathon in support of the unit.

Completing a marathon is an amazing achievement, and we are so grateful that Heather chose to dedicate her efforts to helping our Intensive Care Unit continue supporting patients and their families.

Heather, what an incredible accomplishment! Thank you so much for your support, generosity, and determination ⭐

💜 A Heartfelt Thank You 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who supports the Dementia Awareness Team, North East Lincolnshire, by generously using their amazing knitting and crafting skills to create twiddle muffs.

These wonderful handmade items will be distributed to patients at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, providing comfort, sensory stimulation, and reassurance to people living with dementia during their hospital stay.

We truly appreciate every stitch that goes into making these valuable donations. Your kindness, time, and dedication help make a real difference to the lives of our patients and their families.

⚽🏆 We're bringing the World Cup excitement indoors across our wards and departments at Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole Hospitals!

Thanks to the charity, colourful World Cup window stickers are helping to spread football cheer and brighten the day for patients spending time in our hospitals.

A huge thank you to the children and staff at St Mary's Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy for their wonderful fundraising efforts, which enabled the purchase of six Baby Einstein cot toys for the Disney Ward at Scunthorpe Hospital.

These thoughtful gifts are very much appreciated and will help provide comfort, stimulation, and distraction for our youngest patients during their time on the ward. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference to the children and families we care for 🥰

Every year, 1 in 8 babies are admitted to the neonatal units — and for families, this can bring unexpected challenges, worry, and long days away from home.
We’re proud to offer accommodation on the unit, allowing parents to stay close to their baby during such a critical time. But over the years, these family flats have become tired, outdated, and in need of some care and attention.
Our goal is to transform these spaces into warm, welcoming environments where families can rest, recover, and feel supported during one of the hardest times of their lives.
To make this happen, we need the support of our amazing community, local businesses, and fundraisers. Whether it’s through donations, fundraising events, supplies, or sponsorship, every contribution can help us create a comforting “home away from home” for our neonatal families.
