🌟You all give your energy, care, skills, enthusiasm and as much time as you can spare so that our 600+ young members in groups and units across NE Lincs get to try new things, make friends, learn skills, make memories and find their place to belong in Scouts.

🌟Whether you run a section every week, manage a group, support a camp, manage equipment or facilities, help with admin, sit on a trustee board, make the tea, order and sort badges, lead an activity or step in when someone needs a hand — you .

Today is about celebrating the fabulous work of everyone involved in supporting the health and wellbeing of children. Its also about throwing a spotlight on the need to protect and nurture our younger generation.

⚜️In scouting we offer safe welcoming spaces, positive role models, activities which challenge and engage, outdoor experiences and life skills, all of which are necessary for young people to grow into thriving, confident, resilient and responsible adults.

Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough 🎉🌍

Did you know Sir David was also a Scout? ⚜️

His spirit of adventure, curiosity, service, and respect for nature has been an inspiration to so many people across the world.👏👏👏

Through scouting we provide opportunities for exploration🥾, nurture a love of nature🌱🌿 respect and responsibility for our planet🌍 and encourage small actions which can make a difference. We share so many of the values that Sir David has championed for decades.

🧗‍♂️ Climbing Wall Adventures

Our mobile climbing wall has been on its travels from Cherry Garth Scout Campsite to Primrose Hill this weekend. It has been such a pleasure to have been able to support the amazing PrimJamVI 🏕event again this year. Held by our friendly scouting neighbours North Lincolnshire Scouts the event provides 3 days of epic fun for hundreds of Scouts and the climbing wall was one of over 40 great activities on offer throughout the weekend. What a fab way to spend the Bank Holiday weekend

🏆District Cub Quizzers - you were awesome👏

Teams of cubs from packs across the District came together and flexed their brain muscles 💪 in the District cub quiz. It was lovely to see the focus, teamwork, encouragement to have a go and to see cubs having pride in their own achievements and those of others.

During the wait⏳️ for quiz results cubs were sent on a mission📋 which involved map symbols and first to complete were

In any competition there are always 1st places and runners up but the cubs annual quiz is also about ✔️building the confidence of everyone taking part, ✔️working together, ✔️challenging themselves and most importantly ✔️having fun.

❓️District Beaver Quiz

It has been such a fun afternoon with beavers at the District Quiz today. Beavers from various groups across the District making up mixed teams and working together. There were 🔹️multichoice questions, 🔹️picture rounds, 🔹️true and false questions and even an 🔹️outdoor nest building🪹 and capture the egg competition🪺.

Congratulations to the winning team🥇 and runners up🥈 and well done to everyone who took part👏 The scores were very close

Team "Mike" are go at the Fells Marathon. Best of luck to the GYC Explorers who have worked hard in the run up to this event on navigation, menu planning and kit gathering. Let's hope they haven't forgotten anything and are holding the map the right way up!🧭

Congratulations to 11th Grimsby Scouts on the launch of their new section yesterday evening. It looks like everyone had lots of fun 😁

And well done to the team of adult volunteers involved 👏 The provision of more places and more opportunities for 4 and 5 year old boys and girls to join in scouting adventures is welcomed and has been greeted with much excitement.

This new provision of places for squirrel scouts at 11th Grimsby adds to the places already provided by 1st New Waltham - Grimsby - Squirrel, Beaver, Cub and Scout Group, 3rd Cleethorpes Scout Group and West Grimsby Scout Group.

👉But we still need more to meet the high demand for this age group.
