History of Hope Street

History of Hope Street Hope Street Trust charity has been awarded funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to research and retell the History of Health in Hope Street.

Hope Street Trust were awarded funding by the Heritage Lottery fund to engage young and old people in uncovering the history of Hope Street, East Marsh, Grimsby. As part of our grant agreement we delivered the following activities:

Produced a book about the history of health in Hope Street from 1800 - present day

Produced a documentary movie about the History of Health in Hope Street

Created en

ough information and research to host an exhibition at the end of the project

Developed a community play about the history of health in Hope Street. Carried out a re-enactment of Queen Elizabeth II coronation in true Hope Street party style. We engaged 35 young people and 63 older people who volunteered a staggering 5693 hours of time on the project.
