PSA CONTAMINATED DRUGS

So at 4pm today our local drug and alcohol services announced thay there is a Public Health Risk in relation to contaminated drugs.
Dont worry they are.open Tuesday 🀬. Is this good enough. Is this what we expect from our services.
Can we ask Melanie Onn and Cllr Oliver Freeston and North East Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership and North East Lincolnshire Council what is the base standard of care for our community .
So Boots in Freshney Place has Naloxone available if its needed. Please make sure you have one on you or in your car should it be required beacsue we know. and we need to .
We will be at
Kingsway Kiosk Cleethorpes tomorrow Saturday 29th from 9 till 10am if anyone needs support on how to administer naloxone and is unsure.
On Monday we will be at Grounded In Grimsby CIC Recovery Garden with information and support from 9 till 11am on Duncombe Street opposite
Phone 999 if you suspect someone has overdosed. In Scotland they have naloxone where we have defibrillator. This is something we should be trialing.
So here is a link from our friends at Scottish Drugs Forum and Wez Steele on how to.administer Naloxone safely. Takes 2 minutes.

🌱 WE GOT THE FUNDING! πŸ’š

We’re absolutely delighted to share Coastline Recovery has been successful in securing funding from the East Marsh Community Roots Fund.

This funding will allow us to continue doing what matters most β€” creating opportunities for recovery, connection and community.

Over the coming months we'll be able to deliver:

🌱 Our Recovery Garden
🚢 Our Recovery Walk & Catch-Ups
πŸ’š Mental Health First Aid within the community

For us, these aren't simply activities. They're opportunities for people to connect, feel part of something, build confidence and know that recovery doesn't have to happen alone.

A huge thank you to East Marsh United for giving grassroots community groups this opportunity and for the support throughout the process.

We also want to congratulate everyone who received funding. It was brilliant being in a room full of people passionate about making a difference in their communities, and we can't wait to see everyone's projects develop along the way.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who voted for and supported us.

πŸ’œ MAKING RECOVERY VISIBLE IN GRIMSBY πŸ’œ

Looking back over the last three months, we're incredibly proud of what our recovery community has achieved.
41 events delivered β€’ 309 people welcomed β€’ 418+ volunteer hours β€’ an average of 17 active members each month.
From and , to Unity Day in Hull with , our Human Library, Lived Experience Forum, community and our weekend β€” we've continued creating spaces for connection, hope and opportunity.
At Coastline Recovery Grimsby, we see every event as an intervention.
A chance to create moments where reflection, connection, creation, elation and motivation can exist. Sometimes one conversation, one walk, one afternoon in the garden, or simply feeling that you belong can be an intervention in itself.
We are a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO)in the truest sense of the words. Everyone involved brings lived experience and is on their own recovery journey. Lived experience isn't something we consult occasionally β€” it's who we are and how we operate.
And being lived-experience-led also means being prepared to ADVOCATE.
We have spoken up about the things affecting our community and challenged where we believe things can be better. As an independent grassroots organisation, we aren't tied by commissioning arrangements. That gives us the freedom to advocate authentically, ask difficult questions when necessary and keep the voices and experiences of people in recovery at the centre.
We believe that's exactly what a true lived experience organisation should do.
None of this happens alone. A huge thank you to everyone who has walked alongside us, volunteered, attended an event, shared their story or supported what we're building.
A special thank you to Grounded In Grimsby CIC , The Grimsby Salvation Army - Duncombe Street Community Coffee Lounge Navigo and The Forward Trust for continuing to support and work alongside us. πŸ’œ
We're proud to be setting the bar for lived experience in North East Lincolnshire Council β€” not through titles or words, but through action.
One day. One conversation. One intervention at a time.
πŸ’™ No Wrong Door. Meet people where they are.

πŸ“’ RECOVERY GARDEN ANNOUNCEMENT 🌱

A little change to our plans this week!

🌿 Our RECOVERY GARDEN will be on WEDNESDAY this week instead of Tuesday Grimsby Salvation Army - Duncombe Street Community Coffee Lounge is closed due to a funeral, which means we won't have access to the toilet facilities on Tuesday.
But that doesn't mean we're taking Tuesday off! πŸ’™
β˜• TUESDAY: If you're free, we're heading over to Grant Thorold Park for coffee at The Canopy Community Hub , and we'll use the opportunity to do a bit of co-production and planning for the Recovery Garden.
πŸš— Need a lift? I'll be leaving the Grounded In Grimsby CIC Recovery Garden at 10am on Tuesday to head over there.

🌱 WEDNESDAY: Recovery Garden as usual – just a day later this week!
And as always, the usual criteria applies…
ALL WELCOME.

Nobody will be turned away. No referrals, no hoops to jump through and no judgement.
We are proud to be a genuine No Wrong Door, Lived Experience Recovery Organisation.
Come as you are. πŸ’™πŸŒ±

🌊 Saturday Recovery Walk – Making Recovery Visible πŸ’™
A smaller group of warriors out with us this morning β€” and actually, that's something worth celebrating.
Some of our crew are away in Thailand πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡, Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ, over on the dark side in Hull πŸ˜‚, and others are spending time with their families.
And that's what we want to see.
Recovery isn't about spending your life in recovery spaces. It's about getting your life back. Being part of your family. Being part of your community. Travelling. Having new experiences. Making memories. Living. ❀️
For those of us who were there this morning, it was a beautiful one. Sunshine, wildflowers, blackberries, a bit of nature and, most importantly, each other's company.
Sometimes we don't need to fix anything.
We just walk. We talk. We listen. We hold space for one another and keep each other accountable.
And sometimes that's enough to help us face another day.
Different paths. Different journeys. Still walking together.
