Today showcased the true power of partnership, bringing together Employers, Ambassadors, and Educators to inspire future careers in health and care.

The room was filled with energy and enthusiasm, with a shared commitment to supporting the next generation. A huge thank you to our fantastic speakers who brought the programme to life through their insight and passion:

- Sharon Stead, for opening the event and sharing updates on the People and Skills Pledge (PSP) and the Health & Care Ambassador Programme.
- Lee Douglas for highlighting the importance of employer engagement in shaping career pathways.
- Bethany Holness for sharing her inspiring career journey as an ambassador.
- Steve Hoey and Helena Yeadon for demonstrating the impact of strong partnerships.

Success at the Greater Lincolnshire Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2026

We’re proud to share that the People & Skills Pledge, delivered by Care Plus Group and the North East Lincolnshire HCP, has won the Skills Partnership category at the Greater Lincolnshire Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2026. 🏆

The award recognises the work taking place across the partnership to open up opportunities and support people into careers in health and care across our communities.

Sharon Stead, Operational Manager – People’s Development at Care Plus Group, said:

“This recognition highlights the strength of collaboration across our partners, education providers and communities. This recognition is a proud moment and reflects the strength of our partnership in supporting skills development, learning, and apprenticeship opportunities.
