🎄🎁 Help Us Spread Some Christmas Cheer

This Christmas, the teams at Quayside Medical Centre and Open Door Surgery are coming together to support people in our local community who may be struggling over the festive period.

We're collecting donations of food, treats, toys and warm clothing to help make Christmas a little brighter for those in need.

📅 Donations needed by: 23 November 2026
📍 Drop-off locations: Care Plus Group sites, Westgate Park, Open Door, Val Waterhouse Centre, F4IT and Cambridge Park Inpatient Unit

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference.

Last week, representatives from our Primary Care reception team attended the NEC in Birmingham for the PMA Awards, where the CPG Primary Care Reception Team had been shortlisted for Reception Team of the Year. Although the team did not win the award, being shortlisted is a significant achievement and recognition of their hard work.

Kirsty, Manager of Open Door and Quayside, said,

Open Door now offers online triage

Patients can contact the practice online using Accurx Triage.

The simple online form allows you to tell us about your health concern at a time that suits you. Your request will be reviewed by the most appropriate member of our team, helping you get the right care, first time.

Don’t worry, we are not moving entirely to online triage. Patients who do not have access to the internet, or who find online forms difficult to use, can still contact the surgery by telephone as usual.

📍 This week, members of the CPG Primary Care team attended the "From Prison to Community: What Works" event at Grimsby Town Hall.

The event brought together professionals from across sectors to share insights, experiences and approaches that support people as they transition from prison back into the community.

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, network and contribute to important conversations around reducing health inequalities, improving outcomes, and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our communities.

A big thank you to the organisers and everyone who helped make the event such a success. 👏
