Signpost Signpost is an Essex based Charity offering free, Client Centred, Employability services to the Community. Signpost uses Empowerment as a Mechanism of Change.

We recognise the multiple barriers that people face and work to make people stronger so that they might overcome them: Change Through Empowerment. This means addressing issues as they are presented by the beneficiary and shaping services to fit the found need. We have well equipped centres across Essex and are providing an On Line Service due to the Pandemic

Our work mostly takes the form of 1to1

contact (currently on line) and can involve personal or professional support as well as referral on to Partners who might offer more specialist support. everyone gets a positive outcome at Signpost. We also deliver projects in support of local and national initiatives funded from a variety of sources all of which are free at the point of delivery.

As you may have heard, Signpost is in a little bit of a financial corner. As a registered charity, we rely on funds from a range of funders, and these have become more scarce in recent months.

There has been a danger of closure of the Greenstead office. We have received lots of support from the Greenstead Community. So, instead of closing down the Centre at Greenstead, we have decided to shut down our Head Office so that we can keep the service going here. There will be some disruption and a reduced service until such time as we can source the funds to bring things back to full strength.

The service remains free to use, but there will be less of it.

Please feel free to approach us, and we will let you know how things are going.

We will try to keep our website at www.sign-post.info up to date with news.
