Happy Friday from the IRH Rainbow Garden sharing some nostalgia for everyone to see just how far we've come and the origins of the rainbow garden 🌈 in 2021 Sandra Forbes an occupational therapist in the stroke ward and our garden volunteer coordinator was with a patient and thought some air and being outdoors would benefit his healing, she almost tripped over some debris and had the notion that someone should clean the space up and make it more attractive to sit in for staff and patients and also to look out on as the majority of patient rooms look out into the space, have a look at these pictures to see just how far Sandra and our volunteers have come, with assistance from Belville Community Garden Inverclyde Shed and Compassionate Inverclyde : Capturing moments that matter and staff from the Larkfield unit, raised beds were made, benches painted, furniture donated, flowers planted and so much more over the years and it looks amazing, the rainbow garden is entirely donation funded and volunteer run, you can help support us by liking and sharing and commenting on our posts.
