We are incredibly proud of three of our young people who were presented with major awards this weekend at our 26th annual Burns Supper Camp๐Ÿ‘

A huge congratulations to K and T on achieving their Chief Scout's Platinum Award.

This is a significant milestone in the Explorer Scout journey and represents real commitment over a sustained period of time. To complete it, they have taken part in outdoor adventures, nights away, community impact projects, skill development and personal challenges. Itโ€™s an award that reflects resilience, teamwork and a willingness to push beyond comfort zones. Weโ€™ve seen both of them grow in confidence and capability, and this recognition is so well deserved.

Weโ€™re also celebrating R, who achieved his Young Leaders' Award. This award recognises the dedication and training he has completed alongside volunteering his time to support younger sections. Being a Young Leader takes patience, responsibility and real leadership, and R has shown all of those qualities consistently.

These awards represent hard work, perseverance and a real commitment to Scouts. We are extremely proud of all three for the dedication theyโ€™ve shown week in, week out.

Well done K, T and R โ€” a brilliant achievement for each of you ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŒฒ HUNTED 2025 โ€“ What. A. Weekend! ๐ŸŒฒ

The first ever Greenock & District Hunted was an incredible success! ๐ŸŽฏ
Explorers and Network members from across the district came together for a weekend full of adventure, teamwork, and plenty of laughs with loads of new friendships made along the way. โšœ๏ธ

The hunt was packed with drama, daring escapes, and a few legendary fails including the now-famous Tree Hugger Award for the most dramatic woodland embrace ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ˜‚. Our silly awards at the end had everyone in stitches, turns out secret agent life isnโ€™t as easy as it looks!

After all the action, everyone headed back to Everton for a well-earned BBQ, campfire, and some games to finish off the night. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Good food, great company, and plenty of laughter made it a weekend to remember.

A massive thank you to all our leaders and volunteers who helped bring Hunted to life: from planning and setup to keeping things running smoothly all weekend. You made this first event something truly special. ๐Ÿ™Œ

โœจ โ€™Twas the night before Selection, and all through the Region,
Scouts and Explorers dreamed of adventure,
With boots by the doorway and neckies with pride,
Theyโ€™re ready for challenges and friends by their side.

From campfires to teamwork, from hikes to great cheer,
The road to Blair Atholl is starting right here!
So good luck to all, give your best, shine so brightโ€”
Happy Scouting to all, and to all a good night! ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ”ฅโ›บ

๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ‰ A Brilliant Start to the Year! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒŸ

On our very first night back, we had the absolute pleasure of presenting three of our Explorer Scouts with their Chief Scoutโ€™s Platinum Awards๐Ÿ†โœจ

This award is no small feat โ€“ it represents months (and sometimes years!) of dedication. To achieve it, Explorers take part in a wide range of activities, including:
โœ… Taking on volunteering and service within their community
โœ… Completing skills development and physical challenges
โœ… Gaining experience in the outdoors and expeditions
โœ… Exploring the wider world of Scouting through international, community, or environmental projects

Itโ€™s a real mark of commitment, determination, and living the Scout values every day. ๐Ÿ’š

Weโ€™re so proud of our awardees for everything theyโ€™ve achieved! what an amazing way to kick off the year! ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Explorer Belt Champions! ๐ŸŽ‰

Huge congratulations to our Explorers who have now officially completed their Explorer Belt Award after presenting their expedition to the panel last Sunday!

This summer they trekked 100 miles across Germany, braving long days, soggy socks, and plenty of rain but kept positive the whole way. Alongside the adventure, they completed 10 minor projects and 1 major project, testing their teamwork and resilience every step of the journey. ๐ŸŒโœจ

The presentation was the final step, where they shared their stories, laughs, and the odd โ€œwhat were we thinking?โ€ moment. Weโ€™re so proud of them for achieving one of Scoutingโ€™s toughest (and most fun!) international challenges. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘ Celebrating Oor Meg! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ

A huge well done to our very own Meg, who not only led the Explorer Belt expedition for Greenock District (18โ€“24) this summer, but has also been awarded the Chief Scoutโ€™s Commendation for Good Service! ๐ŸŽ‰

This award is given in recognition of sustained and dedicated service to Scouting, and Meg has more than earned it. From months of planning, supporting the Explorers every step of the way, and going above and beyond to make sure the expedition was a success โ€“ Meg embodies the spirit of Scouting.

Of course, she couldnโ€™t have done it alone! She had a fantastic team around her, including our very own Shaun, Emma, and Matt, who all played a huge part in making the expedition possible. ๐Ÿ’š

Weโ€™re incredibly proud to see Megโ€™s hard work and commitment recognised at a regional level. Well done, Meg!
