Didn't quite make 100k yesterday. Managed 90k in 16.5 hours.
Had to stop any running after 52km because of my knee so carried on walking. After 16hrs/87k I was tired and bored so headed home.
Still 90k not bad for an old boy. That is not far short of the whole Weavers Way in 16.5hrs.👍

Change of plan for tomorrow. Circumstances have made me not go to Lowestoft 100km 5k loop event. I am still trying the same challenge but using home as my base. First 25km will be out along the river, then parkrun at the Sandpit, then back along the river to home, to make a pit stop before my next loop....wherever that may be, and try and clock up as many km as I can (hopefully 100?) in 16 hrs.
😊👍

PLANS CHANGED See latest post.
On Saturday 8am I will be attempting to run/walk 20 5km loops around Lowestoft...the Lowestoft 100km loop challenge hosted by Peak Running and Forty2RC.
This is my latest challenge for my Emb RACE. I have 16hrs to complete the 100km finishing at midnight. Wish me luck🤞🤣.

An update on my current plans.
On 21st March I will be participating in the Lowestoft 100km. 20 x 5km loops with a 16 hour cut off. 8am till Midnight.
(I did 100km at Sandringham 24hr event 2.5 years ago in 18.5hrs with lots of rest breaks, so I am thinking this 100km is doable.)
I will be running and walking with my friend Iwona so we can support eachother during this event.
I have had to pull out of London Marathon in April for personal reasons but instead shall attempt a trail marathon distance in April before the 25th...date and route to be confirmed if any one wants to join in.
In May I am looking at organising a trail half marathon, open to anyone to run or walk. Participants can donate to Embrace via my fundraiser.
Watch this space for updates.

If you are wondering what Embrace PFC CIC is, they are a local social enterprise, some of the work they do is with women who have experienced domestic abuse, here is an example of how your funds help, go and check out their page and give them a follow...

These challenges are as much about raising awareness as raising funds

Thank you again for all of your support!

A lovely client story from a wonderful Woman who survived domestic abuse and learned to thrive again!

We were able to do this with the support and funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

Day #31 final day of my challenge. I have run or walked on average over 10km each day of January. 10km is not far I know.
I am 67 next week, I have arthritic knees and hip, and prostate cancer, so I am blowing my own trumpet and think I have done quite well. I can not run well like I could 5 years ago, which is why I have walked on many days. It has not been easy, and some day's I just did not feel up to it at all. But it has helped raise funds for Embrace, and I am extremely thankful for the donations we have received so far. I did my best time in over 2 years at parkrun this morning.😊
381.83km for January...for Embrace.😎👍

Day #29. 14.7km walk with Karen around Thurlton, Wherrymans Way and a coffee stop in Loddon. Nice to see some different scenery. It was a bit cold and damp but still a lovely walk.

Day #28 . A little 5.7km walk out in the dark to try and find my dropped glove at the far side of the farmers field.
No luck. I think a dog must have run off with it.😔
You can see the glove in the pic from this afternoon.
