Great Yarmouth Minster Preservation Trust

Great Yarmouth Minster Preservation Trust Maintaining the fabric of the stunning Great Yarmouth Minster, formally St. Nicholas' church. Saint Nicholas Church was founded in 1101.

After being heavily bombed during the Second World War the building was restored throughout the 1950's and was re-opened in 1961. It is the largest parish church in the country and is a good example of Stephen D***s Bower's vision as an architect. Amongst those who have worshipped here include Lord Nelson and surgeons Sir James Paget and Sir Astley Cooper, with many a royal visitor throughout the centuries.
