NSR CLASSIC FORDS
May 29th.
The classic Fords continue to be a favourite among our club members, drawing a passionate group of 14 eager racers this week, all striving for the top spot. This enthusiasm was reflected in the variety of heat winners: Nigel and Sam each claimed three wins, Andrew and Terry each claimed two, and Keith, Peter R, Peter H, and Jake each claimed one.
This week, the rookies demonstrated their determination and showed they are ready to challenge the seasoned racers with their very impressive times.

E final. The newest members faced off in a close contest, focusing on maintaining their rhythm & staying in the groove, as their lap times were very similar. Kevin managed to secure the win.
1. Kevin W (r)
2. John B (r)

D Final. Martin led the way with the rookie challengers close behind. After his 3-week break, John C made a strong comeback, earning second place and proving his resilience, earning him top rookie honours this week.
1. Martin
2. John C (r)
3. Oskar P (r)
4. Kevin W (r)

C Final. The fastest of this group was Jake, who led from the front and won comfortably, with Peter H finishing second.
1. Jake S
2. Peter H
3. Keith L
4. Martin S

B Final. These racers pressed hard, and on any other night, they’d be in the A final, given how close their times were. The competition was fierce, but Terry showed great pace and earned the victory, earning a place in the A final.
1. Terry H
2. Jim W
3. Jake S
4. Andrew P

A Final. With only four spots in the A final, the returning familiar faces battled it out. Sam had a strong start and competed closely with Nigel for most of the race. Terry and Peter R fought their own tight duel for third. Sam led for much of the race, but in the final laps, Nigel’s steady pressure paid off. An unfortunate slip for Sam at the pit area bend handed Nigel a well-deserved win and another for the championship.

Next week, another close class with the Slot. It's Porsches.

NEW CLASS, NEW WINNER
Friday 22nd
This week marked the first race of the new Racer Sideways Fords. For many weeks, club members had been purchasing, building, and preparing their cars, creating plenty of anticipation ahead of the opening round. The big question was whether someone would emerge as the early pace-setter or if the class would produce a variety of winners.
The opening race suggests this will be a highly competitive class, with six different heat winners from the 12 racers. Early signs indicate that the classic Mustangs and Capris may have an advantage over the Es**rts, although further development and upgrades could soon alter that.
Terry set the early benchmark with four heat wins, while Keith, Peter, and Nigel each claimed two victories. Martin and Sam also achieved a heat win each. The heat points standings remained very close:
Terry – 12
Peter H – 9
Keith – 9
Martin – 9
Nigel – 8 (despite suffering a DNF in one heat)

Finals
D Final
Oskar took the win and claimed the top rookie spot, while Jim finished second despite struggling with poor grip throughout the race.
1. Oskar P (r)
2. Jim W
3. Kevin W (r)

C Final
Andrew’s improving Es**rt secured victory ahead of Jake.
1. Andrew P
2. Jake S
3. Oskar P (r)
4. Sam G

B Final
Nigel led the way with Keith second.
1. Nigel G
2. Keith L
3. Peter R
4. Andrew P

A Final
The A Final provided a stunning spectacle. For the first eight laps, all four cars ran nose-to-tail, but as errors gradually crept in, Martin capitalised and took a well-earned victory — his first A Final win since returning.
1. Martin S
2. Terry H
3. Nigel G
4. Peter H

GT or Not GT?

Friday was slightly down on the usual numbers, but we still had 10 racers eager for the challenge of the very fast GT class.

The GT class showcased a diverse range of cars, including the beloved Mosler, as well as Corvettes, Audi R8s, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and more. The surprise top contenders are now the Porsche 908/3, with three making it to the A Final.
The question is: is it, or is it not, a GT? I believe it is — especially since I have the quickest one 😁
As always, lots of close racing and a bit of bad luck combined to make another enjoyable night.

Keith claimed four wins in the heats and became the first racer to break the 4-second barrier. Nigel had three wins, Terry had two, and Sam secured one.

Finals

C Final
Andy R, in his smart-looking red Ferrari, took the win over Peter H, who faced some bad luck by breaking three cars during the evening.

1. Andy R
2. Peter H
3. Kevin W
4. John B

B Final
Sam delivered a convincing win, beating top rookie Oskar and advancing to the A Final. Andrew joined the unlucky club when his very quick yellow Mosler suddenly lost all grip in the final.

1. Sam
2. Oskar (R)
3. Andy (R)
4. Andrew

A Final
With three Porsche 908/3s and one very quick Mosler, anticipation of a thrilling race was definitely high.
Keith took the lead, with the others close behind. A couple of deslots then handed Nigel the advantage, allowing him to pull away from the chasing pack. Keith pushed hard towards the end, but the laps ran out before he could catch him.

1. Nigel
2. Keith
3. Sam
4. Terry

Next week, we look forward to the first round of the new class: Racer Sideways Fords.

B Final
This was a fantastic race to watch. Peter R led for the first part of the race, with Terry and Peter H close behind. With about 10 laps remaining, the three got together swapping the lead almost every lap. With just two laps to go, Peter R deslotted at Hobbit Corner, leaving Peter H and Terry to fight it out to the line, Peter H claimed the win.
A Final
Once again, the final turned into a close battle between Sam and Nigel, with the pair inseparable for the entire race.
A photo finish at the line showed just how close it was, with Sam taking victory by the narrowest of margins ahead of Nigel. Jim put in a strong drive for third, while Peter kept the pressure on him right to the finish for fourth.

“KEEPING IT IN THE GROVE”
🏁 Slot.it Group C Porsche – 1st May 2026
A slightly smaller grid this week with 11 racers on track, but the competition was as intense as ever. Close battles throughout the heats saw five different winners—Keith, Nigel & Sam each taking three wins, Andrew securing two, and Terry adding one to the mix.
Finals Recap:
🔹 D Final: A showdown between the newest members saw Kevin W claim his first-ever win, edging out John B.
🔹 C Final: An all-rookie affair, with John C taking victory ahead of Andy R.
🔹 B Final: Andrew drove a strong race to win, with Terry finishing 2nd.
🔸 A Final:
“They say keeping it in the groove is the key to winning…” 🫣🤔
Keith launched well and built an early lead, but a deslot brought him back alongside Sam. The pair battled hard until another mistake dropped Keith to third.
Sam looked set for victory, balancing speed with pressure from a rapidly closing Nigel. But in a dramatic twist—whether it was the commentator’s curse or pure pressure—Sam deslotted on the final corner of the final lap, handing Nigel the overall win. 🏆

Nigel’s back on top &. End of an era for the Mini’s.

17th April 26. Lexan Mini’s

Nigel Gibbs becomes the sixth overall winner at the Bradwell track since moving there in February. Nigel’s has been the club champion for many years and always the one to beat, since moving to Bradwell he has had to settle for many second places with some races being just down to the line. Last night he was back to normal, winning 3 heats and the A final against Peter R, Peter H & Terry H.
John C & Oskar had a great C final, battling for the rookie class challenge. John claimed the bragging rights this week.

11 racers competed in the Final ever Lexan mini challenge, these 1/24 scale cars always provided some close entertaining races having a HRS chassis, light weight Lexan body, plus a 23k motor, the power to weight ratio is very quick. With difficulty of getting new cars it was agreed to drop this class so all members can race. (Thank you to Peter R for providing many cars so every one present could race last night.)

Next week we start all over, new rules, new cars & the championship back to Zero points. Details to follow.

KEITH’S MAIDEN WIN AT ASR.

GT Sports. 10/4/2026

Keith Lincoln claimed his first overall win at ASR on Friday, after a poor first heat he then became dominant for the rest of the evening with three heat wins and winning the A final. Keith also claimed the lap record for this very fast GT sports class.
Sam chased hard but a crash on the bottom corner dropped him down to third leaving Nigel to claim second place. Martin who keeps improving every week, finished fourth after his promotion from the B final.
Only 10 racers this week which still produced some very close competitive racing with large a variety of cars.

The Rookie class final had the regular battle of Andy & Oskar, Oskar claimed it this week. (Andy beat Oskar in the later support race).
The two new members John B & Kevin W had their own battle in the final, Kevin had a couple of De-slots in the last few laps given the John the bragging rights.
It was again great to see good racing at all levels.

Results.. Slot. It Saloons 02/04/26

This week we changed to the Thursday night as many of us were unavailable for Good Friday. This worked very well as we had 15 racers inc. John B & Kevin W who joined us on the circuit for the first time.

Highlights of the racing was the finals and pick of the bunch was the E & A finals.

The E final (battle of the rookies) had Oskar & Andy swapping places many times throughout, Oskar got the win with Andy very close behind.

The A final was another good battle between Sam & Nigel, after 8 laps the two were side by side every corner and every lap, on lap 9 Nigel fell to being another victim of the S bends this giving Sam a healthy lead. Nigel then went into challenge mode chasing Sam down right to the finish line, both drivers on the last corner went flat out chasing to the line, Sam managed to hold on giving him another night win. 🏆
