Looking forward to this kicking off this evening!!

🏁 SPEED LEAGUE STARTS TONIGHT 🏁

After months of planning, we’re excited to welcome riders to the first round of the GYCC x TPR Events Speed League this evening.

Whether you’re a seasoned racer, a sportive rider looking for a new challenge, or someone who’s never pinned a number on before, this series has been designed with you in mind.

Unlike traditional club time trials, the Speed League rewards more than just outright speed. With points available for participation, personal improvement and consistency, every rider has a genuine opportunity to compete throughout the series.

📍 Herringfleet
⏰ Sign-on: 6:00pm - 6:45pm
🚴 First rider off: 7:00pm
🏆 Results presentation: 7:45pm (approximately)

Entry is just £5 for GYCC members and £7 for non-members, with all proceeds supporting Great Yarmouth Cycling Club and helping to keep grassroots cycle sport alive in our area.

Sunday Rides 14th June 2026

Meeting in the car park at the southern end of Marine Parade in Gorleston at 08:00.

Depending on attendees we hope to run the following groups.

Club Ride - A ride of around 45-50 miles with a café stop at a pace to suit everyone in attendance.
Intermediate Group - A ride of around 44-50 miles with a café stop at an average pace of around 16mph.

Fast(ish) Group - A ride of 50+ miles with a café stop at an average pace of around 17/18 mph.

Saturday 13th June 2026

New to cycling? Or just fancy a relaxed easy paced ride?

Our Saturday morning beginners/Improvers ride is the perfect place for an introduction to our social, friendly and progressive club.

A warm welcome from our members guaranteed!

Meeting opposite Gorleston library near the Feathers P.H. at 09:30 , for a ride of around 20-25 miles at a nice easy pace suitable for everyone in attendance, usually finished by around 11:30.

Open to everybody! suitable for beginners, ladies, regular riders & everyone in between!!

Meeting in the car park at the southern end of Marine Parade in Gorleston at 08:00 and heading in a South Westerly direction.

Depending on attendees we hope to run the following groups.

Club Ride - A ride of around 45-50 miles with a café stop at a pace to suit everyone in attendance
Intermediate Group - A ride of around 44-50 miles with a café stop at an average pace of around 16mph.

Fast(ish) Group - A ride of 50+ miles with a café stop at an average pace of around 17/18 mph.

A small group of 7 riders met up on Gorleston seafront for a club-paced ride, heading in a westerly direction. One turned off earlier, leaving 6 to carry on to the cafe stop in Woodton.

Meanwhile, 3 riders took part in the Norwich 100.

We had 12 riders our for yesterday morning's rides. Our club ride headed south, stopping at Darsham. Meanwhile, our faster group headed a little further and stopped in Yoxford.
