We are sad to say that the Great Yarmouth Rotary Speakers Club will finish at the end of the year. Thank you to all our guest speakers, club members and all who have supported our club. We are also so grateful for the support of the Imperial Hotel, Great Yarmouth who enabled us to hold our meetings in a wonderful and professional setting.

Our Club mission statement:
“Our aim is to develop your public speaking ability - improving your communication skills, knowledge and self-confidence by support and personal development whilst promoting the ideals of Rotary.''

We helped local people gain confidence in public speaking, to find out about members life experiences and support local and international charities. Proud to have been part of the Rotary family.

Wow what a ‘qwacker’ of a day at the Great Yarmouth Duck Races.
Local Rotary club members of Great Yarmouth Haven, HR2 and Great Yarmouth Rotary Speaker’s Club came together to make this annual event a great success. Money raised goes to local charities. Thank you to the businesses who sponsored a duck and decorated them so imaginatively! Last but not least, thank you to the people who visited and sponsored a yellow duck - see you next year!

On Wednesday evening at the Gt Yarmouth Rotary Speakers Club we had 4 guests namely Maryann who was being interviewed by Martin Stolwothy concerning her work at the Old Pottery, Blackfriars Road. Yusef is also helping at the Old Pottery and they were accompanied by Clare and Sue, who are volunteers with the Great Yarmouth Civic Society. Martin did a brilliant job running a very relaxed interview and we all learned so much from Maryann and the work being done to use the premises as a Community Hub. Our next meeting will be on the 4th September at 7 pm at the Imperial Hotel Great Yarmouth. If you want to take part in our Quiz on the 25th September at the Filby Bridge Restaurant, then please contact me as we only have a few tables left.

Trevor’s has been a motor engineer, fraud investigator and soldier so I am sure he will give us a stunning performance.
