Thanks so much to the Great Wilbraham Primary School Choir who joined Wilbrahams' Community Choir in celebration of 10 years of our 'new' Memorial Hall on Sunday. It was a great joint effort and also involved audience participation during 'What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor', pictured below.. Thanks also to the choir masters: Emily Lane & Gill Humphrey, to Tony Goryn, our President, for an amusing and enlightening speech taking the long view of the history of our hall. Ian Cu***ng presented an amazing 10th birthday cake and the tables were groaning with ever more cakes - thanks to a brilliant team of bakers, servers and clearer uppers. We were blessed with good weather and the bouncy castle was popular with the kids all afternoon. Thanks to everyone who came and to the many who helped. Here's to another 10 years!

Thanks Chris Fell for the great photos of the The Wilbrahams' Memorial Hall Feast on Saturday night. This was our 6th Feast, and it is now a major social and fundraising event of the year, this year raising £1320! The event was themed around 'apples' and 80 guests were entertained by Charles Hesketh of who gave a fascinating talk on small scale cider production in rural Hertfordshire, talking us through a tasting of 3 delicious and very different ciders. of Gt Wilbraham then did a live baking demonstration, adding the finishing touches to a HUGE apple shaped 'Charlotte Russe' which was added to the groaning desert table. Guests bring delicious home made dishes relating to the theme and: surprise, surprise, it was almost all gobbled up! The quiz stumped quite a few teams and Ian's true or false, (beef or baloney) game kept everyone on their toes. A HUGE thanks to Ian; to Dru Goryn for help with the organising; to and for stalwart help behind the bar and washing up, to for running the raffle and for the gorgeous flowers. Thanks also to the team that helped to set up so quickly in the afternoon. It gets easier every year.. And of course to thanks to everyone who came, and contributed their most tasty dishes and helped clear up at the end. I think everyone went home happy and full! Thanks Emma
