🌟 Mound Project Update 🌟

Some of you may remember our post a few weeks ago introducing the Mound Play and Pause Patch project at Great Ellingham Primary School, which the Friends of Great Ellingham School (FOGES) is helping to fundraise for, posted to the Great Ellingham Community page.

Following that post, Amazon Leisure UK Ltd very generously donated £10,000 towards the project. This incredible contribution has brought us significantly closer to our £30,000 target, and we are hugely grateful for their support. Thanks to everyone who contacted me with details of funds to apply for too.

Thanks to school funding and the generosity of parents and the wider community, we now need just £8,000 to complete the project.

We’re delighted to share that work is now well underway, and it’s exciting to see the mound finally taking shape!

⏰ Final Reminder – Smarties Challenge Deadline Tomorrow! ⏰

Just a quick reminder that Friday 5th June is the deadline for returning your Smarties Challenge tubes to school.

Please make sure your tube is labelled with your child’s class name and sealed before bringing it in.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far – we can’t wait to see which class has raised the most and wins the prize! 🍬🏆

Don’t forget we’ve included a money bag for any lose change you have - the more we raise the better (doesn’t have to be 20p’s) and if you’ve lost your smarties tube you can still take part by placing your lose change in an envelope or money bag, labelled with your child’s class, and hand into the office.

🍬 Smarties Challenge Check-In! 🍬

How is everyone getting on with their Smarties Challenge tubes since half term? 😊

Have your children been helping out at home, doing little jobs for family and friends, and filling their smarties tube with 20ps? Every coin helps support our school and the pause and play patch project which is now in full swing!

There’s still time to get involved, so keep collecting and don’t forget to put your class name on your tube.

⏰ Reminder: Deadline today - Marvellous Men ⏰

Welcome back to the final half term of the school year!

Today is the deadline for returning your forms to the school office for the Marvellous Men LEGO Bricks gifts.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accept any late forms, as we are working to strict supplier deadlines.

If you haven’t handed yours in yet, please make sure it reaches the office today. Thank you for your support! 😊

🌿 Exciting progress at school! 🌿

Work has officially begun on our new Play & Pause Patch! 💚

This special space is being created to give children somewhere to play, explore, relax and recharge during the school day, whether they need a quiet moment, sensory activities, or simply a calm outdoor environment to enjoy with friends.

We’re so excited to see the ground works beginning for phase one of this project and can’t wait to share more updates as the space develops. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Friends of Great Ellingham School fundraising efforts so far … your support is helping make this wonderful space possible for our children.

We do still need to continue fundraising to meet the target to finish the project.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic Sports Day at Great Ellingham Primary School! Families are very welcome to come along and cheer the children on from the sidelines. 💙
