Together For Cinema Together For Cinema is an AV industry good cause enterprise whose main focus is to design and instal "Together For Cinema - together for better"

These rooms not only benefit the children and young adults, but also their families, carers, staff and volunteers. Together For Cinema has comprehensive support and backing from our industry, hence all products and installation services are donated. Increasingly there are other opportunities presenting themselves that show there is much more than can be done, be it linking up international AV companies with good causes or recycling second hand AV equipment it is clear there is the need for an industry conduit to liaise with good causes in the UK. Quite simply Together For Cinema is a pure and unquestionable good.

A Sunday afternoon well spent!

Together For Cinema's Ian Morrish caught up with Amanda Wildman - CIT SME, IST SME, ESC, Mike Beatty and Morgan Wildman for a great afternoon of conversation, covering all things Together for Cinema and CEDIA, with a little GivingBack.tech thrown in for good measure!

Plenty of ideas shared, good discussions and perhaps even a few of the world's problems solved along the way? Well, we'd like to think so anyway!

Meet Ian at the Alltrade Ltd Southern Trade Show 👋

Ian Morrish is at Epsom Downs Racecourse today and would welcome the opportunity to talk about Together For Cinema and GivingBack.tech.

Together For Cinema brings the AV industry together to create cinema and media rooms in children’s hospices, schools and other deserving venues. Through GivingBack.tech, we also connect surplus AV equipment with charities and CICs.

Whether you’re interested in becoming a Charitable Partner, contributing products or installation expertise, or finding a new purpose for equipment you no longer need, come and have a conversation.

Today marks the opening of the new cinema and media room at Linden Lodge School. 🎬

Check out these before photos to see where the project began, the after pictures will be posted soon!

Thanks to Flux London and the generosity of our industry, the space has been transformed into a room designed around the students’ sensory needs.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.

Could your company find one piece of working AV equipment it no longer needs? 💚

GivingBack.tech is a Together For Cinema initiative that helps connect surplus AV equipment with charities and CICs. Companies can already register and list suitable products on the platform.

We’re now getting ready to launch the One Product Challenge: Find One. Upload One. Nominate One. The idea is to start with one working product, then encourage another company to do the same.

A projector, speaker, camera or display sitting unused could have another life. You don’t need a warehouse full of equipment. One suitable product is enough to start.

🎬 REAL STORIES. REAL IMPACT.

As we kick off a new week, we’re going back to January, 2013! On this day, the Together For Cinema room at Ty Hafan Children's Hospice opened its doors. 💙

The impact it had then is still felt by the young people who need it today.

For some, going to the cinema is not as simple as choosing a film and finding a seat.

At Tŷ Hafan, the cinema room created an accessible space where children and young people could watch films together and enjoy experiences that could be difficult elsewhere.

It also became a place for meaningful sibling time, from movie nights and sleepovers to pizza evenings.

One parent described how much it meant for her daughters to watch a film together without worrying about having to stop for medical intervention, while the relaxed environment gave them the freedom to be a little more vocal than they might be in a conventional cinema.

💙 A space to relax.
💙 A space to be together.
💙 A space to simply enjoy being young.

More than a decade later, this is still a powerful reminder of why Together For Cinema does what it does.

55 miles. One very good reason for doing it. 💙

Ian Morrish, founder of Together For Cinema and GivingBack.tech, and Greg Stuttle reflect on London to Brighton, the support behind Team TFC and what it means to see the AV industry come together for the cause.

57 riders took on the challenge and the £15,000 fundraising target was smashed.

But there is still plenty more to do.
