Together For Cinema Brings YOU GivingBack.tech

A brand-new responsible repurposing scheme for the AV industry to support Charities & CICs.

After launching yesterday, we have had lots of applications from beneficiaries who are excited to hear about GivingBack.tech!

This is a new and innovative way to access high quality AV equipment without spending hard-earned funds, and for the AV industry to repurpose unwanted second-hand, discontinued and B-stock equipment to help make a positive difference in our community.

If you haven’t yet registered as a donor, please join us and the AV industry family and list your products today to help those that need them.

Together we can make a difference!

Could your surplus AV help a UK charity or CIC?

GivingBack.tech is a Together For Cinema initiative created to help the AV industry give working surplus technology a second life by connecting it with UK charities and CICs that can put it to use.

From screens, projectors and speakers to cameras, microphones, video bars and accessories, suitable surplus AV equipment can help organisations communicate, teach, connect, fundraise and make their services more accessible.

We are encouraging companies to upload suitable surplus products by Thursday 11 June so they can be matched with organisations that need support.

Find out more or upload your surplus AV: https://www.givingback.tech/how-to-donate-equipment/

With recent CEDIA EMEA summits at both Manchester and Edinburgh, it's a great opportunity for us to tell the world what we do, the AV world that is!

Our new initiative, GivingBack.tech, was very well received and it's always a great excuse for Ian to catch up with friends in the industry, and maybe recruit a few more on to the London to Brighton fundraiser for Together For Cinema Here he is with Lee Harding from Alltrade Ltd, one of our regular riders.

Still places available on 13th September......💙

We are delighted that Beky from Re-Sauce is joining the London to Brighton cycle ride which means we now have FOUR ladies in our group. This is great news for Team TFC and will hopefully encourage even more of you to join us for a challenging and exhilarating experience later this year.

The team now stands at 49 riders and we'd like to achieve the magic number of 55 of us cycling 55 miles. Can you join us on Sunday 13th September 2026?

A great challenge for 2026, plenty of time to train and you'll be raising vital funds to help us install cinema rooms into charitable family care venues such as children's hospices and hospitals.

Contact us today to sign up!

We are very lucky to have so much support from the AV industry for Together For Cinema but we know that not everyone has spare AV equipment that they are able to donate for our cinema rooms in hospices. or may not be able to provide installers to help make the cinema rooms a reality.

Together For Cinema are very fortunate to have riders fundraising for our London to Brighton bike ride this year and we are hoping to hear of other sponsorship ideas tp help fund these amazing spaces for families to come together at a difficult time and enjoy the 'family film night'. Maybe you've been putting off that parachute jump? Or a sponsored film night is in the pipeline?

For those who want to support our cause but who don't have a spare projector nor want to run a marathon (!), please donate through our new process via the DONATE button on our website.

Maybe your children's school are looking to support a worthwhile initiative or perhaps that one off donation will help our cause?

Please spread the word so we can continue our work. We believe Together For Cinema is a force for pure good.

Together For Cinema...Together For Better. Let's further the positive difference we can all make 💙

On International Nurses Day, we recognise the incredible nurses and care professionals who create supportive, compassionate environments every day.

At Together For Cinema, we see first hand the difference these spaces make to people in care settings, hospices and hospitals. Creating comforting environments where people can relax, connect and enjoy shared experiences is only possible because of the dedication of those who care for others.

Thank you for everything you do.

We are looking forward to a productive month at TFC starting with a much awaited Directors' lunch meeting, then over the next few weeks Ian has development meetings for possible cinema rooms at:

• Butterwick Hospice in Stockton on Tees
• Rachel House Hospice in Kinross Children's Hospices Across Scotland
• Ronald McDonald House Charities United Kingdom in Southampton
• Marie Curie UK Hospice, Solihull

We look forward to keeping you posted on all progress.

We can't do all of this without you.

The constant support from the AV industry enables us to achieve our goals so thank you!

Fundraising for Together For Cinema doesn’t come in one format.

It’s 55 miles from London to Brighton.
Or York to London, then Brighton straight after.
Or 1,000 miles across Europe.
Or six marathons in six days in the Sahara.

But it’s also a golf day.
A pool tournament.
A coffee morning.
A cake sale.

That’s the whole point.

There’s no perfect way to get involved. No minimum standard. No “right” challenge.

Just people deciding to do something.

Because when enough people do that, it adds up to something that genuinely makes a difference.

So if you’re thinking about it, stop thinking.

Back on the bike for a great cause 🚴‍♂️

After missing last year through injury, Jeremy Brown, Sales Director, AV EMEA, is back riding in this year’s London to Brighton in support of Together for Cinema.

"After missing last year through injury, I’m proud to be back on the bike for Together for Cinema, riding with the AV industry to help bring the magic of cinema to children’s hospices, with a few lively debates with industry friends and competitors along the way."

We’re glad to have you back, Jeremy.

Want to get involved? Join and ride with us this September.
