GYG is looking for talented young people to take part in our spectacular GYG 2027 SHOW, taking place at The Woodville Theatre on Friday 23 April 2027!

Whether you love performing on stage or have a unique talent you’d like to share, we’d love to meet you!

WHO CAN AUDITION?

Young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 for young people with additional needs.

📍 Venue: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pelham Road, Gravesend

🕚 Time: Auditions start at 11am

🌟 Celebrating Youth Work Week

Youth Workers help shape people’s lives, build confidence and social skills, and create a community that young people and their families can feel part of.

At GYG we aim to create positive memories for young people, to help broaden horizons and create exciting opportunities; from being part of both local and global projects to supporting young people with career and training opportunities.

Our youth team is on-hand to support and inspire young people and give them a platform to have their voices heard.

🌟 Celebrating Youth Work Week

Throwing it back to this amazing moment in 2022.

Prince Harry met us in London to talk to our young people from GYG about improving online safety for young people everywhere.

We shared personal stories about how social media can affect each one of us, our well-being and how we interact with those around us.

The young people who come to GYG have contributed to global discussions about digital safety since 2019, working with 5 Rights Foundation who advocate the need to keep young people safe online. Thank you to Archewell Foundation for meeting with our incredible young people.

Our mini GYGers have been working so hard to prepare for their fundraising show on 13th November. Please come along and support them if you can!

Last Monday our GYG committee were very fortunate to have the opportunity to speak via Teams to young people from Ukraine 🇺🇦

The discussion ranged from favourite foods, musical artists and of course the continuing war with Russia. Our group were in awe of the problems the Ukraine group face and how their lives literally changed overnight when Russia decided to invade their country.
More meetings are planned and the groups are going to converse regularly via group chat, supporting and learning from each other.
Thank you Cllr Jordan Meade for introducing us to a lovely, courageous group.

GYG Creative is our FREE weekly Art Workshop for young people aged 11-18 🎨

Our weekly workshops are a fun and welcoming space where children and young people can try new things and make their favourite arts.

Each week we dive into drawing and painting plus lots more in the coming weeks. The sessions are guided by youth worker, a young artist and student from the local area.

Whether you’re a total beginner or already love making art, you’ll find plenty of inspiration and encouragement here. It’s all about expressing yourself and trying new things.
