Team Sarcomafest had a great time at the Sarcoma UK Rare But Real walk at Mote Park, Maidstone today.

Jules, Nicholas, Ben (and his Brother and Dad), Gareth, Lee and Seanie all had an amazing and emotional experience and completed the 10k walk in great time! Special mention to Nicholas who completed the walk in full Viking gear on what was a rather warm day! Colin would have been v proud!

Big thanks to the support team of Tracy, Bethany and Jodee too.

The drinks after at The Thirsty Pig were very well deserved and required!

As a team we raised £350 and overall the event raised in excess of £25k. So, well done everyone involved!

If you would still like to donate please follow the link below!

🖤 Sarcomafest 2026 - 1 Month Warning 🖤
⚡️ Disability in Music Introduction ⚡️

It’s now just one month until The Night Before Sarcomafest and we’re starting to ramp things up here at SF HQ.

If you’ve just been paid go grab a ticket at the link below as you do not want to miss this one!

https://good-show.co.uk/events/4060

Tonight we’re going to introduce you to Disability In Music who we’re pleased and honoured to have as a sponsor of SF. Ben (The Chief) has been a great supporter of SF over the years and is doing some great work with Disability in Music. Here are some words from him about Disability in Music and what they’re doing.

Disability In Music is there for all individuals with physical, intellectual and hidden disabilities to be able to attend shows, gigs, concerts, venues and festivals safely, with any accessibility needs met and to educate hosts of musical events, staff, security, management, promoters and even bands on the rights, needs and support each of these individuals may need when attending, without complication, difficulty or discrimination.

Disability In Music started back in early 2024 after the Chief attended a show with Sarcomafests Colin Tyler, where both faced difficulties getting around the venue due to a lack of access support.

The Chief then sat and spoke with other disabled gig goers, members of the Nimbus Access Card Scheme, various venue owners and festival promoters and decided enough was not being done to let venues know what needs required to be met for anyone with access needs to attend without feeling shame, stress or fear at shows.

Disability In Music was asked by Colin to become a sponsor after last year's Sarcomafest set up highly impressed the Chief, with Terry and the staff at the Red Lion being extremely welcoming, helpful and kind, going above and beyond to help anyone within the disabled community.

Disability In Music wants to use Sarcomafest as an example to other events as to what can be achieved when everyone bonds together to help each other at shows, whether you are disabled or not.

We look forward to being at Sarcomafest 2026, raising awareness of disability rights and needs and honouring Colin's memory.

Disability in Music are doing some great work and it’s superb to have them onboard with Sarcomafest. Contact Ben or speak to him at SF if you would like more information.

Hopefully we’ll see a few of you at Beastfest UK 4 tomorrow. Get along and support the bands, the local scene and the legend that is Mr Stuart Jessop. Also buy him a birthday beer 🍻

Have a great bank holiday and keep your eyes peeled for more SF content this week.

Take care.

SF XII 2026 T-SHIRTS

Good evening boys, girls, & everyone else, it’s T-Shirt time, woo yay. Steve here, your friendly local art bod, DJ, Orchestrator of Things and all that. Presenting – this years SarcomaFest T-shirt.

LOOK! At the photos of me in my drought trashed garden wearing the *only* prototype of this shirt!
“Model is wearing a 2XL ‘cos he’s a chonki boi innit”

The front has our flame filled logo as per, this time paired up with our new crab logo, an echo back to the very first SF poster as done for us a decade plus ago by Branca Studios. This one has been done by Lara at Subterranean Prints https://subterraneanprints.com/ who was based in Berlin but they’ve just moved so not sure now! Anyway, she did this and it’s bloody great and her *other* stuff is too so go check it out. She’s a regular stallholder at DesertFest Berlin and Antwerp, VoidFest, and a bunch of others. I have a number of her shirts (and patches, and badges, and stickers) and her Hellacopters poster from Berlin last year. ANYWAY -

On the back is a dropped out version of the Crab, plus all the band logos and whatnot in full colour, same as it ever was for our shirts, plus In Memoriam Colin Tyler at the top and the gig dates at the bottom. Looks rather smart. You shall recall that we lost the third of our original trio to sarcoma at the end of last year, and that we did a tribute gig to him back in February. The tribute t-shirts were from the same supplier as these and were very well received. So, we’re back on them again.

The whole is on a Stanley/Stella Creator 2.0 shirt which is a 180gsm cotton shirt, high quality, and sustainable to boot. In this instance, the shirts are printed with vegan-friendly inks in the UK so freight costs are minimised. Carbon footprints, yeah?

Cost to you - £25 apiece, any size from XXS to 5XL, but 3XL and up do attract a £2 surcharge. As ever, 100% of profits from the shirts goes to Sarcoma UK, and neither my nor Lara’s costs are passed on – all absorbed by the team, not the charity pot.

All shirts shall be for collection at the gig, so we’ll need:
• NAME
• SIZE(S)
• DAY ATTENDING
And your shirts shall be bagged and ready for your collection in person, and ticked off the list.

To begin your order: send the details requested above to

[email protected]

and we’ll go from there. Like I say, £25 apiece (£27 for 3XL and up) and collection at the gig only. Payments by PayPal preferred – and those shall be into my account rather than at that email address, so don’t freak out. Getting a new PayPal account and jumping through all those hoops is proper aggro these days with all the banking regs and whatever. It’s all properly documented if the taxman asks, not least because the raw details (excepting your names etc.!) get shared with Julian later on. I’m fully accountable!

Bank transfers at a push, if you must.

⚡️⚡️ SARCOMAFEST 2026 ⚡️⚡️
🖤 FINAL BAND ANNOUNCEMENTS 🖤

We’re super excited to announce the final 2 bands who will be playing SF in September. Being the first SF since we lost Colin Tyler, this will be an emotional occasion. So let’s do him proud and once again raise the roof at the Red Lion.

The Night Before Sarcomafest on 25th September already has a cracking line up and adding to that we have our great friends and supporters of SF Secreum, who will be the sub headliners on the night. Once again bringing their crushingly heavy groove to SF, these guys always put on a great show.

Making their SF debut on Saturday 26th September are local post metal band Ahreman. Having seen this 3 piece playing a blinder at the recent M2TM final, we’re sure they will kick off proceedings in a fine heavy style.

We think this is an amazing line up and hope you’ll agree!

Joining Secreum and Ahreman are:

NBS

Seething Akira
Iron Slug
Sanguis Mortem

SF

Them Bloody Kids
Davghter
CHUB
Bangover
Riff Dealer
Splendidula
WRETCHED SOUL

Check out the superb updated poster (courtesy of our Steve!) for all the details.
