🤠 WOULD YOU COME TO A BARN DANCE / COUNTRY & WESTERN NIGHT? 🎶

We’re thinking of organising an evening of country music, line dancing and traditional barn dances at Grasmere Village Hall in early January — something fun to look forward to during the dark winter months!

With live music, dancing, warming food and a bar, it could be a great way to beat the winter blues! 💃🕺🍻

Would you come along? And do you know anyone local who sings country music, calls barn dances or teaches line dancing?

We’re pleased to report that LDNPA organised for tree surgeons from Max Reynolds in Grange to attend the site this morning and they have removed the branch. There are some logs going spare by the gate nearest Broadgate Meadow if anybody would like to take them - first come first serve served!

⚠️ Important safety notice – Village Hall

If you notice barriers by the Hall, it’s because a branch is hanging precariously from the tall pine tree by the bus stop.

We’re concerned that if the wind picks up, the branch could fall and injure someone. We’ve therefore closed the front section of the car park as a precaution. Please don’t walk or park underneath the tree.

The LDNPA has arranged for someone to come and deal with the branch, but unfortunately, they can’t attend until Friday morning.

Please take care if you’re in the area and spread the word so everyone stays safe. Thank you! 🙏

Fancy a murder mystery with plenty of laughs? Join us for See How They Run (12A) at Grasmere Village Hall Cinema, in conjunction with Cine North!

🕵️‍♂️ Set in 1950s London, a murder throws a glamorous West End theatre production into chaos. A world-weary inspector and an eager young constable must crack the case!

🎭 Set against the backdrop of Agatha Christie’s famous play The Mousetrap, this witty comedy-mystery is packed with theatrical intrigue, twists and turns, and plenty of laughs.

⭐ Featuring a fantastic cast including Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell, Adrien Brody, Ruth Wilson and David Oyelowo, it’s a fun night out for mystery lovers and comedy fans alike!
