Speyshed Speyshed - The Strathspey Community Shed. Meet, socialise, and develop and share skills. Speyshed aims to be sustainable and support conservation projects.

Speyshed aims to reduce the isolation and loneliness of members by creating a positive, inclusive and creative environment to support individuals to meet, socialise, and develop and share skills in woodworking, metalworking, and other mediums, including crafts. We will also provide broader support by running an advice hub and informative talks. Speyshed will collaborate with other groups with comp

Ross Murray, SMSA Development Officer, paid a visit to us at Speyshed on Friday.

SMSA Development Officer Ross Murray paid a visit to The Spey Shed on Friday — and, as expected, there was plenty of banter and good conversation!

The visit sparked discussions on a wide range of topics including funding opportunities, securing suitable premises, women in sheds, supporting Shedders living with dementia, and the value of inter-Shed visits.

Yet again, we met another brilliant Shed that’s simply outgrown its current space — a sign of success, but also a reminder of the ongoing need for suitable, sustainable Shed premises.
