Here at OSJCT Apple Trees, we have been throughly enjoying our visits from the brilliant Joanne at Functional Foundation! ⚽️
Joanne uses her experience to create an inclusive, fun session of seated exercise and adapts movements for all to enjoy along to motivating 60s music 🎶
We have particularly loved using the the giant beach ball and the new parachute! 🎾

We've already started working on our christmas fair and were wondering if anyone is able to help us with any donations at all

We're looking for polystyrene sheets, cardboard boxes and outdoor christmas lights for setting up the fair as well as any items for raffle or tombola prizes

Any help is greatly appreciated

If you have any donations please either leave them at reception or with one of our activity co-ordinators

Followed by a lovely afternoon listening to some of our favourite country songs sung by the wonderful Dick Ryman. We sang every song along with him and showed our love for the country music genre.

We love celebrating achievements be it our residents or our staff so we would like to give a massive congratulations to our wonderful Amie from our brilliant team of night staff for passing her NVQ Level 3

Amie has worked amazingly hard during this time and has left not only completing her Level 3 but completed it with Merit

Earlier this week, we enjoyed another session with the lovely Joanne from Functional Foundation! 🥎
In a group, we used balls, foam batons, balloons, fabric, cones and egg shakers to make seated exercise fun and interesting 🎈
Joanne spent time with each person participating, making sure that the session was engaging and adapting to each persons needs 🎶
We loved listening to upbeat music during this session and look forward to our next!🎵

Over the last month our residents have been getting busy preparing for our summer fair.

Working with staff they have been creative and decorated some beautiful glasses and made some lovely smelling candles ready to go on a stall in our fair on the 22nd.
