Grantham foodbank was launched in July 2011 under the auspices of Churches Together in Grantham and District to provide emergency food help to local people in crisis. The foodbamk accepts deliveries Monday to Friday 9.30 to 11.30am thank you

❤️ These are the things we're short of this week at the Foodbank - if you would like to help, you can find our Foodbank donation points at Asda, Lidl, and the Co-ops at Barrowby, Ancaster and Springfield Road. Pet food can also be donated at Chandlers Country Store. ❤️

🍰 Volunteer Opportunity – Hospitality Assistant 🍰
A warm welcome can make all the difference 💚
Grantham Foodbank is looking for a friendly, kind volunteer to join our team as a Hospitality Assistant. This role is all about helping guests feel comfortable, valued, and at ease from the moment they arrive. What’s involved?

✔ Welcoming guests with a friendly face
✔ Making and serving hot drinks
✔ Preparing simple refreshments (sandwiches, cake, biscuits)
✔ Supporting the team during busy sessions
✔ Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy

Who would suit this role?
Someone patient, kind, and non-judgemental, who enjoys helping others and being part of a team.

🔧 Volunteer Opportunity – Facilities & Maintenance Lead 🔧
Grantham Foodbank is looking for a practical, organised volunteer to help keep our building safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly. This behind-the-scenes role is vital to supporting our work with people in crisis – ensuring our space remains welcoming and safe for everyone who walks through our doors. What’s involved?

✔ Monthly building checks
✔ Coordinating repairs and maintenance
✔ Liaising with contractors and our landlord
✔ Supporting safety checks and compliance (e.g. fire safety, PAT testing)
✔ Keeping simple records and updates

⏰ Time commitment: Approx. 4–10 hours per month (flexible)
