We’d like to reassure all our followers that, despite not seeing rain for what feels like several lifetimes, everyone is doing just fine! ☀️🌾

Our daily barley straw is being enthusiastically demolished, and, believe it or not, this is exactly what we should be surviving on….

So while you’re all staring hopefully at the weather app… we’re over here thinking, “Barley straw again? Don’t mind if we do!” 😄

Luckily the grandparents and our donkey dad collected our winter straw rations!

No complaints, full tummies, and absolutely no rain dances planned… yet! 💚 🫏🫏

What better way to spend your day off , on the start of another heatwave,to build a donkey feeding viewing gallery. Free slabs and seat kindly donated by the village. Donkey and the Mrs seem to like it.

☀️ The sunshine is back! 😄

Our furry, long-eared kids, M & D, are on the lookout for some fun summer enrichment, and lots of you always ask how you can help.

🍓🌿 If you have any spare fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, berries) or fresh herbs, why not freeze them in water in an old ice cream tub? These giant icy treats are fantastic enrichment, helping keep everyone cool, entertained, and busy as the weather warms up.

Every frozen creation is hugely appreciated by our donkeys (and by us too!). 💚❄️
