This time we're celebrating Tiana, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprentice at Manor Drive Secondary Academy.

After leaving sixth form, Tiana began her career in education before progressing onto a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship with inspire+. Alongside supporting young people in school, she has also worked as a swimming teacher, helping to develop the confidence and communication skills she brings to her role every day.

When asked about her apprenticeship journey, Tiana said:

"I'd definitely recommend an apprenticeship to others. It's a brilliant way to progress in your career and opens the door to so many opportunities."

Congratulations, Tiana, on this well-deserved recognition. We're proud to support apprentices as they develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to build rewarding careers in education.

Every event, festival and activity relies on people giving their time, energy and expertise.
While the young people are always at the heart of what we do, none of it would be possible without the volunteers, officials, apprentices, school staff, partners and supporters who help create these opportunities.

These numbers represent countless opportunities for children and young people to try something new, represent their school, build confidence, make friends and discover a love of being active.

Disability Pride Month is an opportunity to reflect on what inclusion really looks like in practice.
Through our work with schools, we've learned that creating inclusive opportunities isn't always about making big changes. More often, it's about understanding barriers, listening to young people and making sure everyone feels able to take part in a way that works for them.
When young people feel seen, valued and supported, they're far more likely to develop the confidence to get involved and stay involved. That's something we're continually learning from and striving towards through our work in schools and communities.

Looking for something to keep the children active, engaged and having fun this summer?
There are still paid and funded places available across our Summer Holiday Camp programme, but sessions are filling up fast. Places remain available at all camp locations, however Spalding and Grantham are now limited availability, so we recommend booking soon to avoid missing out.
With a mix of sport, games, creative activities and opportunities to make new friends, our Holiday Activities and Food Camps provide a safe and welcoming environment for children throughout the school holidays.

Many people don't realise the impact an apprentice can have in a school.
For the apprentice, it's a chance to gain experience, develop new skills and grow in confidence.
For schools, it's an extra pair of hands, a positive role model and someone who can make a real difference to young people's lives.
Every apprenticeship journey is different, but the benefits are felt by everyone involved.
