The saga of littering and anti social behaviour continues.

This time it’s one of the small goals that has been in the field for a while now. More litter and smashed has been picked up this morning.

It’s clearly falling on deaf ears to the parents of these children/ young adults. This is being reported to the council and the police as this doesn’t seem to be ending.

We are sorry for the community having to put up with this constant issue. But other than tidying up when our volunteers have time. There is very little else we can do…..

We are so close to reaching our goal to improve the play equipment!

Lost for words really…..

Despite numerous requests for everyone remind their children not to leave the park full of litter. This is happening every time one of our volunteers goes down there to check.

A full wheelie bin liner filled today!

Enough is enough now, the bench will be removed in the next few days. Another volunteer has chosen to stop litter picking, as they just don’t see the point in trying to look after an area that is abused this badly. There were even sanitary products found!

Can’t really blame them not wanting to help keep our play areas looking tidy, can you?

We’ve asked politely on several occasions, but the kids of Ancaster are not listening. Last night, we cleared up countless litter, mainly sweet papers and cans. Today, at 1pm the litter was back, just yards from the empty bin.

Final warning - if anymore litter is left by the kids, we will remove the goal we paid for to give them pleasure during the summer months. It seems as though the only way to get through to them is to remove the attraction where they congregate. How sad.

Would parents please remind the kids that when drinking or eating a tuna sandwich! Just take your litter home or walk a few yards and put it in the bin. Because of the winds, there is loads of rubbish in the hedges that’s needs cleaning. Our volunteers have stopped volunteering because of the lack of respect.

We put in so much effort in our own time to make the playing fields a great place to hang out, play and socialise. Let’s not let the place become a tip any longer.

Speak to your children, let’s all take responsibility otherwise one day we won’t have a playing fields like we have today.

There won’t be any further posts, we’ll just remove the goals that attract the litter bugs.

The Kesteven RFC take on Ancaster Cricket Club at Ancaster. (The poster belongs to Kesteven, but we've nicked it)

Kesteven won it the first year (we were robbed!!!) The second year we took back what was ours!!!

They might be bigger than us, they might be uglier than us, but we hit bigger 6s.

This Friday at Ancaster, come down and support local sport with what promises to be a glorious evening.

BBQ and the bar will both be open.
