Tomorrow we will be supporting this fab community event by Old Gourock and Ashton Parish Church.

As well as providing tents, we are there with our Cafe doing Slice Rolls, Burger, Hotdogs, Soup, Tea and Coffee.

SCOUTS
Last night we headed to Coves Reservoir for a bit of nature and nurture while attempting to complete some badge work including:-
- teamwork challenge
- adventure challenge
- orienteering
- and 1hike!

Scouts were given a list of things/scenarios to photograph including :
- a slip way or dam
- a group shot
- scouts saluting on a high point
- a newly planted tree

Everyone did absolutely fantastic and has earned parts of all the badges listed plus a couple extras awarded while out there!

Lastly, Congratulations to *Ella* , *Sam*& *Callum*on completion of everything required to earn their Gold Awards! The 3 have been working hard and have more than earned these awards!

Cubs

A big thank you to our good friends in Scouts for running a brilliant First Aid night for the Cubs last night.
They learnt how to respond in various situations they may encounter in the great outdoors from needing to make a stretcher with sticks to stopping the bleeding of a bad wound with items they have on them. Hopefully not something they need to use but great knowledge to have.

In addition they also set and we've set challenges for their challenge badge.
Hopefully the Cubs will share with you what.

We rounded off the night with a presentation of badges achieved recently- well done everyone

GOUROCK HIGHLAND GAMES 2026
What a day! Huge thank you to our wonderful team of Volunteers, Parent Helpers, Explorer Scouts and Scouts - and all who visited us on Sunday.
Our busy cafe was a success once again!
Roughly 250 burger, 280 Slice Rolls, 100 hotdogs and countless teas, coffees, soup, cakes and cans served, as well as providing goodies to the hospitality tent.
Great day all round and great visibility of Scouting.

Tomorrow we will be back at Gourock Highland Games - Inverclyde with our Cafe. Best value in the park. Come visit us and spread the word!

We can be found next to the middle gate within the Battery Park (see map).
Open to the public from noon, Cafe opening early morning to the Pipe Bands also.
Indoor and outdoor cafe. Friendly faces and worth a visit. We accept cash and card payments.

Great to see all our Cubs (and a couple of new ones) this week.
The weather nearly held out for the Historical walk of old Gourock town. The Cubs were all fantastic as we visited the tomb of the 1st Gourock Scout and memorial of the woman who saved Gourock over 4000 years ago from big storm (Granny Kempock). Never made it to be station but, as I'm sure you all heard about, we still had time for chips.

We drew the tomb as we saw it today and imagined what it might have looked like when GP saved old Gourock village from the storm

🌊 Lunderston Bay Litter Pick 🌿

What a brilliant night for our 1st Gourock Beavers!

Around 30 of our Beavers, leaders and parents came together at Lunderston Bay to take part in the Scottish Beach Clean β€” and what a difference they made πŸ‘

The group worked incredibly hard and collected 3 massive bags of litter, helping to keep our beautiful local beach clean and safe for everyone. We’re so proud of how well they all got stuck in and worked as a team πŸ’ͺ

After all that effort, there was just enough time for a well-earned play in the park to finish off the night πŸ˜„

A huge thank you to all our Beavers, leaders and parents who came along β€” a great example of community spirit in action πŸ’š
