Gosport Royal Marines VCC are now looking for our newest Recruit Troop 262.

If you are aged 9–16 and want to do something a little different from your friends or want your friend to join with you....... then this is for you.

As a Royal Marines Cadet in Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps at Gosport, you could get involved in:

🏕️ Field exercises and living in the field

🧭 Navigation and map reading

💪 Physical training and fitness

🎯 Skill at arms and shooting

⚓ Drill and ceremonial parades

🚣 Adventure training and water activities

🎖️ Leadership development and teamwork

🛞 Cadet Force Field Gun

🎒Duke of Edinburgh Award

🇬🇧 Events and Visits

You’ll build confidence, resilience and discipline while building new friendships, developing teamwork skills, and creating memories that will last a lifetime all while being part of something bigger than yourself.

This is an especially important year for us as we celebrate 125 years of the Corps, making it the perfect time to join and be part of our history.

To celebrate the Volunteer Cadet Corps’ 125th Anniversary this year, we’re inviting our entire VCC family to take on the Challenge!

🏃 Complete 125 exercise reps a day for 125 days during 2026.

Whether it’s push-ups, star jumps, walking, jogging or cycling, every rep counts. Take on the challenge in your own way, at your own pace, and help raise vital funds for:

Gosport Division Says Goodbye

On Thursday evening, we said goodbye to our Second in Command, Colour Sergeant VCC Zoë Malam.

Zoë has been the beating heart of Gosport Division for many years and has worked tirelessly to help run the unit whilst balancing her day job and volunteering with the HMS Collingwood Volunteer Band.

Her final evening with the Volunteer Cadet Corps was made even more special when the Mayor of Gosport visited the unit to present her with the Gosport Young Citizen of the Year Award, a fitting recognition of her dedication, commitment, and service to others.

Zoë leaves behind an everlasting mark on the unit, from helping shape the cadets of today to supporting projects such as our new field gun tops. More importantly, she leaves behind countless memories, friendships, and her infectious enthusiasm that has made such a difference to everyone around her.

As Zoë begins a new adventure, there will undoubtedly be a huge hole in the unit. She will be greatly missed by staff, cadets, parents, and all who have had the pleasure of serving alongside her.

On behalf of everyone at Gosport Division, we would like to thank Zoë for everything she has done and wish her every success and happiness for the future.

🏆 History Made for Gosport Division RMVCC! 🏆

Today, Gosport Division RMVCC made history by winning their first-ever Field Gun Run at the Southwick D-Day Revival with an impressive time of 1 minute 49 seconds.

This is the first Field Gun Crew ever formed by the unit, making this achievement even more special. The team also debuted their new pink Field Gun tops, ensuring they certainly stood out from the crowd!

A huge congratulations to all of the cadets involved. They have worked incredibly hard, shown outstanding determination, and demonstrated what can be achieved through teamwork and dedication. Field Gun is one the most physically demanding and challenging team sports, and every member of the crew should be immensely proud of their achievement.

Well done to everyone who supported, trained, and encouraged the team along the way. This is a fantastic milestone in the history of Gosport Division RMVCC and hopefully the first of many successes to come.

🇬🇧🇬🇧 A Moment in British History 🇬🇧🇬🇧

For the first time ever, cadets from the Gosport Division Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps , alongside fellow units from across the Volunteer Cadet Corps , have made history.

They became the first Cadet Force to conduct the Ceremony of the Dues at the Tower of London taking part in a tradition that has stood for over 700 years.
This incredible achievement didn’t happen overnight.

Over 100 cadets spent four days at Woolwich Barracks, undergoing intensive training, rehearsals, and preparation to ensure they were ready to represent the Corps on such a historic stage.

Their dedication, discipline, and teamwork have been nothing short of outstanding.

To see our cadets step forward and play a role in such a significant moment in British history is something we will never forget.

A 700-year-old tradition.
A 125-year-old organisation.
One unforgettable moment.

We are incredibly proud of every single cadet and volunteer who made this possible. Your hard work, commitment, and professionalism truly showcase the very best of the Volunteer Cadet Corps.

With 125 years of history behind us and the next generation leading the way forward, this is just the beginning.
