Our Ducks in a Row women’s group at Throckley Community Hall LTD is taking a little break for half term!

We hope all our lovely ladies enjoy the break, have a chance to relax and recharge, and we look forward to seeing you again on Monday 2nd November.

There’s nothing better than hearing about the little glimmers of positivity our women are experiencing since joining our Ducks in a Row support groups.

Each week, we hear lovely feedback about the difference these groups are making, from growing confidence and making new connections to feeling more positive about the future.

These little glimmers are a reminder that sometimes, having the right support, a safe space and a group of women who understand can make all the difference.

We’re so proud of every woman who walks through our doors and takes a step towards a brighter future. Here’s to celebrating every little glimmer along the way!

On the Up is inviting exhibitors to join us at our Community Jobs, Skills & Wellbeing Fair in Fawdon, helping local residents discover new opportunities and connect with organisations supporting their community.

Feeling a bit stuck, lacking motivation or just not quite like your old self?

Maybe you’re thinking about getting ready for work or volunteering, want to set yourself some personal goals, or simply feel a bit lonely at home and would like to meet other women.

Ducks in a Row is a free, friendly group for women who want a bit of support, encouragement and a chance to take some positive steps forward.

You don’t need to have it all worked out. Some women come feeling anxious, overwhelmed or lacking in confidence. Others just want to get out of the house, meet like-minded women and try something new.

🚀 Week 1 at St Joseph’s Primary School and what a great start!

We’ve kicked off our 7-week enterprise challenge with an amazing group of young people who are already showing us they have plenty of ideas and entrepreneurial spirit!

Working in teams, the children picked everyday objects out of a mystery bag and were challenged to reimagine, improve and reinvent them to make life easier. Along the way, they explored ideation, creativity, AI, robotics and technology, thinking about how their ideas could solve real-life problems.

But it’s not just about coming up with a great idea. Our enterprise programme is also about building confidence, communication, teamwork and the belief that their ideas are worth sharing. 💡

From a simple object pulled from a bag to an idea that could become a business… we’re already seeing some young entrepreneurs in the making!

We can’t wait for the next 6 weeks as the teams develop their ideas, build their confidence and get ready to pitch their businesses to Newcastle Round Table with some fantastic prizes up for grabs! 🏆

Watch this space. These young entrepreneurs are just getting started! 🚀
