Canny night on the water- welcome to the Tyne to our latest Recruits and New Entries as for the first time they give way together- and enjoy a cooling dip in the river as part of their Water Safety test, just the one scream so we're onto a winner!

Following our introduction night last week, dont forget we are back at the boatstation tonight, those that arent on holiday, 1800-2000. Ensure you have a change of clothes, towel and bring some water to keep you hydrated

This Tuesday sees our first night at the boat station of the season.

Due to the time of sunset, for the first few weeks we will be at the boatstation from 1800-2000 rather than the usual 1900-2100. Fridays remain usual time at the unit as normal.

The postcode to use to find the boatstation is NE21 5LL- looks complicated, but it's not- honest :)

Cadets should wear clothes appropriate to the weather that they dont mind getting wet or muddy- no brand new trainers please, no jeans and always bring a spare set of clothes and a towel just incase.

We will not be on the water the first night, but there is always the chance of getting wet after that, so avoid soggy car seats and uncomfortable cadets and remember that change of clothes

Why not get booked on to the next Northern Area DCCT shooting weekend running at HMS Caledonia from 26th June to the 28th June.

There are spaces available for both cadets and adults. The course is in need of supervisors, drivers and first aiders to help make it a success.
