🌞 Gorebridge Galaday 2026

Well, what a fantastic day we had! The sun was shining ☀️

The streets were lined with smiling faces, and the park was absolutely jumping with energy and community spirit.

A huge round of applause for our amazing Court – every single child looked incredible and did such a wonderful job. 👑 Congratulations to King George and Queen Eilidh and the rest of the Court – you made us all proud!

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the day – your presence and energy made all the difference. Big thanks to all the local groups who took part in the procession, entertained us on stage, and helped create such a vibrant atmosphere down in the field.

🌸 A heartfelt thanks to:
• Ballantynes for the beautiful flowers on stage
• The Midlothian Council team for their support on the field and for sprucing up the village all week
• Gorebridge Bowling Club for the use of their facilities
• All the car drivers who gave their time and effort decorating and ferrying the kids
• Everyone who helped with tombolas,
barriers, toilets, set-up, and everything in between – you know who you are, and
. Our gate judges who spent hours going round the village (results will be announced soon)

And last – but by no means least – to our wonderful, hardworking committee: thank you for your dedication, hours of planning, and endless enthusiasm. None of this would be possible without you. 💛

Here’s to another amazing Galaday – roll on 2027🎈
