A brilliant first few days at Blair Atholl International Jamborette for our two Gorebridge Explorer Scouts!
They’ve been getting camp set up, meeting their international Canadian 🇨🇦 patrol, and diving straight into trading — and it’s fair to say our Gorebridge gear is going down a treat.
We’ve got some great photos from today, and tomorrow they’re off on SAD (Subcamp Away Day) — the whole subcamp heading to Pitlochry for challenges, activities and plenty of laughs.
What an adventure already!

Big day for Gorebridge Explorer Scouts!
Two of our Explorers - Erin and Sam, are heading up to Blair Atholl for the International Patrol Jamborette, spending the next two weeks camping, adventuring and meeting Scouts from across the world, learning new skills and working together as a Patrol.
With 1,000+ Scouts attending from countries like Austria, Barbados, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Spain, the USA and more — this is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

We’re incredibly proud of them both and hope they enjoy every moment of this amazing opportunity.
Have the BEST time, you two — we can’t wait to hear all your stories when you’re back! ⛺️⚜️

We’re excited to be back at Birkenside Funday this year!
The Scouts and Explorers will be out selling burgers, hotdogs, teas, coffees and tuck shop all day.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there and supporting our local community.

Today marks an exciting moment in the history of Explorers, the launch of the first full redesign of the programme since 2002.

The new programme has been refreshed, rejuvenated and re-energised. It’s more flexible and inclusive than ever and most importantly shaped by young people and the volunteers who experience and deliver the programme week in, week out.

As part of the redesign there’re new badges, refreshed requirements and for the first time ever – Explorers Challenge Awards. There’s also a complete new brand with a new logo, tone of voice, imagery and recruitment resources.
